Where Winds Meet Version 1.3 Battle Pass Now Lets You Pick Between Two Outfits

Where Winds Meet's Version 1.3 "Spring's Bliss" update, which went live on February 6, 2026 (UTC), changed how battle pass outfits work on global servers. Instead of receiving a single predetermined outfit, the battle pass reward has been upgraded to a "Select Outfit Pack," letting you choose one of two outfits for the season.

Quick answer: After the February 6 update, the Version 1.3 battle pass gives you a choice between two outfits — General's Glory and Soaring Crane. You pick one; the other cannot be purchased separately from the shop this time around.

General's Glory and Soaring Crane outfit details

The two outfits available through the Version 1.3 battle pass each carry a distinct aesthetic. General's Glory leans into a commanding, military-inspired look with heavy armor elements. Its official description frames it as embodying "heroic strength and distinguished grace," and players have noted its resemblance to the NPC Shi Shouxin from the Unholy Prophecy questline. Some community members have also compared it to the existing Well of Heaven outfit, though General's Glory features more ornate detailing.

Soaring Crane takes a more ethereal direction, inspired by the legend of an immortal who rode a white crane from Mount Song before vanishing into the clouds. The outfit features flowing robes and a lighter color palette. It has drawn a warmer reception among players, particularly on female characters, though opinions on its male variant are more mixed.

Both outfits are dyeable, consistent with previous battle pass outfits. Free outfits earned through gameplay remain locked to their default colors, but any outfit obtained through the battle pass can be recolored using dye items like Rosycloud Dye Power and Softweave Dye Power from the shop.

How the Select Outfit Pack works

This is the first time global servers have received a "pick one of two" battle pass format, but the mechanic isn't new to the game. The Chinese server introduced a similar choose-one system back in February 2025 with the 云遥鹤影 / 封侯 battle pass (labeled 二选一自选战令, meaning "choose one of two self-select battle pass"). Global is now catching up to that format.

One important distinction for this season: the outfit you don't pick is exclusive to the battle pass and reportedly cannot be purchased separately from the in-game shop. Previous battle passes on global, like the Magpie season, allowed players to buy the alternate cosmetic item from the store, but that option does not appear to be available this time.

Battle pass outfit history on CN and global servers

The Chinese version of Where Winds Meet has run roughly ten battle pass cycles since the game's launch in late 2024. These have alternated between "major" battle passes (longer duration, full reward tracks) and "minor" battle passes (shorter periods, typically one outfit). Both types include a seasonal outfit and decorations; the higher-tier premium track offers additional rewards but no extra outfits.

Global servers did not start with the first CN battle pass outfit. Instead, the global launch skipped the first two CN outfits (山水一砚 and 丹雀) and began with the third. Since then, global has largely followed the CN outfit order, though the second CN outfit did appear during a mini battle pass tied to an echo event on global.

CN Battle PassOutfit Name (CN)Type
2024.12.27山水一砚Major
2025.01.24丹雀Minor
2025.02.14云遥鹤影 / 封侯 (choose one)Major
2025.03.28青玉案Major
2025.05.09鹊踏枝Major
2025.05.30午风清Minor
2025.06.20射虎南山Major
2025.08.08驰走西风Major
2025.09.26云中锦书Major
2025.11.07山君啸林Major

The global server doesn't follow a strict one-to-one mapping with CN's release order, so predicting exactly which outfit arrives next isn't straightforward. The general trajectory suggests global will continue pulling from the CN catalog, but the sequencing and timing may vary.

Battle pass outfits vs. gacha and shop outfits

Where Winds Meet distributes cosmetics through three main channels: the battle pass, the gacha system, and the direct-purchase shop. Battle pass outfits tend to feature more grounded designs — plate armor, fur coats, and structured silhouettes — while gacha outfits lean heavily toward flowing robes with particle effects. The battle pass sits at a lower price point (around $20 USD) compared to the unpredictable cost of pulling gacha outfits.

Battle pass outfits are not available in the global shop, though some players have noticed them visible in the appearance tab during character creation. Those previews are display-only and don't indicate availability for purchase. The outfits can only be obtained by progressing through the battle pass during their respective season.

The choose-one format adds a welcome layer of personalization to a system that previously offered no flexibility. Whether you prefer the armored authority of General's Glory or the ethereal elegance of Soaring Crane, the Version 1.3 battle pass at least ensures you're not stuck with an outfit that doesn't match your character's vibe. Just choose carefully — there's no buying the other one later.
