He's courteous, poetic, and seemingly harmless — admiring bamboo forests and commenting on how life perseveres despite the blight. But Perlica immediately flags something unusual: the name "Ardashir" is an ancient Sargonian name, extremely uncommon among the people of Talos-2. A database query turns up only historical Sargonian figures and unrelated employees, none matching his apparent age.

Sargonian origins and possible Terran connection

Ardashir claims to hail from Yersh, but the Sargonian name raises questions about whether he is genuinely from Sargon — or whether he is using a Sargonian identity as a disguise. Hypergryph's track record with Arknights suggests that antagonist characters typically do not become playable until the story provides a narrative justification for them to work alongside the protagonist. Silhouette teasers for future characters have been released by the developers, and the first new male operator appears to be a lancer-type character who has not yet appeared in the story, rather than Ardashir.
