Who voices Zibai in Genshin Impact (JP and CN)

Zibai arrives in Genshin Impact as a 5-star Geo sword DPS and one of the most heavily telegraphed characters of the Luna IV cycle. Her kit revolves around Lunar-Crystallize, a new reaction that reshapes how Geo interacts with elemental shields. Alongside the mechanical shift, HoYoverse has anchored her to two familiar voices for long‑time anime and gacha players.

Who voices Zibai in Japanese

Zibai’s Japanese voice actor is Misato Fukuen (福圓 美里). She has built a long career around high‑energy, emotionally volatile characters, which lines up cleanly with Zibai’s dual role as a mythical White Horse Adeptus and a frontline damage dealer.

Fukuen’s casting pulls from a deep catalog of notable roles across anime and games. She is the voice behind Chibiusa/Sailor Chibi Moon in Sailor Moon, Himiko Toga in My Hero Academia, and Yami in To Love Ru. That range alone runs from earnest magical girl to unhinged villain to seductive alien, which gives her plenty of room to shape Zibai’s otherworldly but approachable affect.

Her supporting work rounds that out further. She has played Eve and Tearju Lunatique in Black Cat, Kurumu Kurono in Rosario + Vampire, Eruka Frog in Soul Eater, Yoshika Miyafuji in Strike Witches, Rika Shiguma in Haganai, Anzu Kadotani in Girls und Panzer, and Yin in Darker than Black. Across those roles, she swings between comic relief, grounded military drama, and tightly wound occult horror.

Game players will probably recognize her more directly from RPGs and gacha titles. Fukuen voices Edna in Tales of Zestiria, Iggy in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure adaptations, Eupha in Metaphor: ReFantazio, Osakabehime in Fate/Grand Order, and Sakura Kasugano in Street Fighter IV and V. In mobile line‑ups, she is GreyThroat in Arknights, Ibuki in Azur Lane, Iroha Natsume in Blue Archive, and Li Sushang in Honkai Impact 3rd, as well as Sushang in Honkai: Star Rail.

For Genshin specifically, Fukuen is being asked to carry a character tied directly to Liyue’s mythic history. Zibai is described as the “White Horse Adeptus” whose presence stretches back to the Archon War and even to the moon, with eyes that can see across time. Fukuen’s prior work with morally ambiguous, ancient, or cosmic‑scale characters makes her a natural fit for that type of narrative weight.

Who voices Zibai in Chinese

Zibai’s Chinese voice actor is MACE, a name that will already be familiar to anyone who has spent time in other HoYoverse games. Her casting continues the pattern of reusing trusted voices across the studio’s catalog.

MACE has handled multiple key roles in Honkai Impact 3rd, including Fu Hua and Herrscher of Sentience. Both characters demand rapid switches between stoic restraint, sharp humor, and unbound aggression, which dovetails with a Lunar‑Crystallize DPS who moves between measured setup and explosive payoff.

In Genshin Impact’s Chinese dub, she already voices Fischl, one of Mondstadt’s earliest and most distinctive 4‑star characters, as well as Albedo, the restrained, analytic Chief Alchemist. Zibai adds a third, very different persona to that roster, extending her footprint from Mondstadt into Liyue’s adeptal sphere.

Outside Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd, MACE voices Topaz and Numby in Honkai: Star Rail, Zhuyuan in Zenless Zone Zero, Akali in League of Legends, and both Serpent and Horo in Path to Nowhere. That mix of cunning tacticians, brokers of value, and morally gray enforcers fits a character like Zibai, who sits at the intersection of celestial duty and on‑the‑ground combat.

Given Zibai’s positioning as one of Liyue’s Eight Adepts and a figure tied to the “Golden-Eyed Celadon Mare” legend, the CN performance needs to shift between ethereal storyteller and hard‑hitting frontliner. MACE’s prior work with characters who blend mythic stature and modern sensibilities suggests a performance that can do both.

English and Korean voice actors for Zibai

HoYoverse has not yet named Zibai’s English or Korean voice actors. That leaves a temporary gap in the character’s global casting picture, especially for players who primarily experience the game through those dubs.

Zibai is scheduled to debut during Version 6.3 “Luna IV”. The version launch is set for January 14, 2026, with Zibai’s banner running in Phase 2 from February 3 to February 24, 2026. English and Korean casting details typically surface around a version’s full rollout or shortly before the character’s banner opens, so those names are expected closer to her gacha debut.

How Zibai’s voice casting connects to her design

Zibai is framed as the “Golden-Eyed Celadon Mare”, a Geo sword user from Liyue and one of the Eight Adepts. Within the lore, she is connected to the Archon War, to Rex Lapis’s rise, to the Three Moon Sisters, and to Istaroth as “time’s daughter”. She is described as a white horse adeptus who may have dwelled on the moon and acted as a kind of angelic emissary.

Her gameplay pushes Geo into new territory. After activating her Elemental Skill, she enters a special state where her Normal Attacks and Lunar‑Crystallize reactions charge a gauge. When that meter is full, she can fire off “Spirit Steed’s Stride”, a one‑time burst of Geo and Lunar‑Crystallize damage. A Moonsign talent accelerates the charge when anyone in the party triggers Lunar‑Crystallize, and buffs that payoff hit when specific conditions are met.

Her passives also lean into the lunar theme. One talent converts Hydro‑Crystallize reactions into Lunar‑Crystallize for the whole party, effectively enabling the new reaction wherever Hydro would normally create Geo shields. Another restores her Elemental Energy at night while out of combat, reinforcing the idea that she draws strength from the moon and the passage of time.

Those mechanics ask for a voice performance that can handle both the immediacy of an on‑field DPS and the distance of a being who has watched history unfold from above. Fukuen Misato and MACE both have long track records with characters who straddle that line—veterans of war, ageless entities, or trickster figures that talk in riddles but still land jokes and battle cries.

Where Zibai fits in the Version 6.3 Luna IV era

Zibai releases during the back half of Version 6.3, paired with Neuvillette’s rerun. Her event wish, Harmonious Abundance, runs from February 3 to February 24, 2026, as an event‑exclusive banner. In the universe, she stands alongside other Liyue powerhouses as one of the Eight Adepts, a group that once combined their strength to purify the god Tao Dou.

Story hints scattered through books and anecdotes sketch a character who spent time in seclusion after that battle, who may have lived on the moon as a divine envoy, and who now returns as Lunar‑Crystallize rewrites the combat meta. The choice to cast familiar seiyuu and CN talent with deep roots in the wider HoYoverse ecosystem underlines how central she is meant to be, not just as another Geo unit, but as a hinge between Liyue’s folklore and the cosmology of Teyvat.

Once the English and Korean names are in place, Zibai will become one of the few characters whose voice talent list reads like a cross‑section of HoYoverse’s broader projects, with each language drawing from performers already associated with other flagship roles. For now, Japanese and Chinese dub players get the clearest preview of how that synthesis is going to sound.
