Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 2.5 Special Program, titled “To Be Fuel for the Night,” goes live on December 19, 2025. The stream will preview the final battle of Season 2, showcase new agents Zhao and Ye Shunguang, and drop a time-limited redemption code that pays out free Polychrome and upgrade materials.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 livestream date and global start times

The 2.5 Special Program is scheduled for December 19, 2025, at 19:30 (UTC+8). That single broadcast time translates into different local starts across regions.

What the 2.5 Special Program will show

The “To Be Fuel for the Night” broadcast is built around three pillars: closing out Season 2’s Mystic arc, introducing new agents, and outlining Version 2.5’s events.

New agents Zhao and Ye Shunguang. Zhao represents Krampus Compliance Authority and is presented as an Ice Defense agent with a tank‑leaning kit and the Black Branch aesthetic. Ye Shunguang arrives from Yunkui Summit as a Physical Special Attack Void Hunter focused on aggressive damage. Both are planned to become playable when Version 2.5 goes live on December 30, 2025, with their debut banners detailed during the stream.

Season 2’s final battle. The 2.5 story chapter zeroes in on the hunt for Ye Shiyuan and the fallout from Ye Shunguang’s condition and transformation. The stream will frame this as the last confrontation of Season 2, with multiple factions involved, including Yunkui Summit and Krampus Compliance Authority.

Future teases. A short teaser from The Game Awards 2025 pointed at Angels of Delusion, and the 2.5 program is expected to expand on that with early nods toward future characters and antagonists rather than detailed kits.

Events and activities. With the update scheduled for December 30, 2.5 is positioned to carry a large main event and several side events into the new year, in line with Version 2.x’s previous major patches.

2.5 livestream code: release window and rewards

The Special Program will include a single redemption code that grants premium currency and upgrade materials. The format follows recent updates.

When the code drops. The host reveals the code during the broadcast, usually once mid‑stream or split into segments on the same code. It becomes active shortly after it appears on screen.

How long it stays valid. The code remains redeemable for roughly 24 hours from the livestream start time. After that, the server disables it. If the stream starts at 19:30 (UTC+8) on December 19, expect the cutoff to fall around 19:30 (UTC+8) on December 20. Exact deactivation times can shift slightly, so treat the 24‑hour window as a hard deadline.

What you get. The 2.5 livestream code is structured to deliver free Polychrome and a bundle of enhancement items. The exact string and item breakdown are announced live. Previous Version 2.x streams have handed out the equivalent of a ten‑pull’s worth of Polychrome across their codes; for 2.5, the format has shifted to one consolidated code with comparable total value.

Note: if you log in late or need to watch a rebroadcast, you do not need to watch the stream live to use the code as long as you redeem it before it expires.

How long you have to redeem the 2.5 code

The “roughly 24 hours” lifetime is important if the stream airs in the middle of the night in your region. Here’s how that window maps out at a high level.

Reference region Approx. claim window
UTC+8 (China / Asia server time) Dec 19, 7:30 PM → Dec 20, 7:30 PM
Eastern US (EST) Dec 19, 6:30 AM → Dec 20, 6:30 AM
Central Europe (CET) Dec 19, 12:30 PM → Dec 20, 12:30 PM

To avoid cutting it close, aim to redeem the code on the same calendar day the stream airs in your local time. Once the server marks it expired, it cannot be recovered by support.

How to redeem the ZZZ 2.5 livestream code on the official site

Redeeming on the web is usually fastest if you are near a browser. Use the official redemption page at https://zenless.hoyoverse.com/redemption.

Step 1: Open a browser and go to the redemption page, then log in with the HoYoverse account linked to your Zenless Zone Zero profile.

Step 2: If prompted, choose the correct server region that matches the account you actively play on so the rewards land on the right profile.

Step 3: Enter the 2.5 livestream code exactly as shown during the stream in the code field. Codes are case‑sensitive when they include letters, so match the capitalization.

Step 4: Click the redeem button. A confirmation message should appear if the code is valid and unused.

Step 5: Launch Zenless Zone Zero on your platform, open the in‑game mail, and claim the attached rewards. Items arrive as system mail within a short time after successful redemption.

Tip: if the site reports “code already redeemed” and you have multiple accounts, double‑check which HoYoverse login and server you used.

How to redeem the ZZZ 2.5 code in‑game

If you are already in New Eridu when the stream drops the code, you can redeem it directly through the pause menu without leaving the game.

Step 1: Launch Zenless Zone Zero and load into any playable area with your Proxy.

Step 2: Open the pause menu.

Step 3: Go to the More tab and select the Redemption Code option. A small input window will pop up.

Step 4: Type or paste the active 2.5 livestream code into the text field, then confirm by selecting Redeem.

Step 5: Return to the More tab and open your in‑game mail. The livestream rewards will be attached to a new message that you can claim with a single button press.

Note: Codes can only be used once per account. If you enter a valid code a second time, the game will return an error stating it has already been claimed.

What else the 2.5 update brings and when it lands

The Special Program is only the preview. Version 2.5 itself is scheduled to launch on December 30, 2025. That patch will bring:

  • Banner access to Zhao and Ye Shunguang with their associated W‑Engines and support content.
  • The Season 2 finale chapter covering the confrontation around Ye Shiyuan, the Creator, and the aftermath of the Mystic arc.
  • Limited‑time events and rewards tuned for the late‑December and early‑January window, expected to include at least one headlining event with story scenes, combat stages, and currency payouts.

For anyone planning pulls, the livestream’s code is effectively a small Polychrome stimulus packaged around the story preview. Watching live is optional; redeeming within the short window is not. Set a reminder around your local start time, grab the code through the web or in‑game menu, and you will be ready when “To Be Fuel for the Night” goes from broadcast to playable patch at the end of the month.
