PlayStation Plus is lining up its October refresh around a spooky-season theme, pairing three new Monthly Games with a run of limited Halloween item bundles. The games are the headline draw, but the HorrorFest packs and a set of Spider-Man avatars give subscribers a few extra things to grab before the month is out.

October 2026 PlayStation Plus Monthly Games
All three titles go live on Tuesday, October 6, and stay available to add until Monday, November 2. Once claimed, they remain in your library as long as your subscription is active. F1 25 (PS5)
F1 25 serves as the official title for the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. Its modes include a complete Career and the enlarged My Team 2.0, where you run a Formula 1 team as its owner. For online competition, the new F1 World mode lets you join friends in a team event against computer-controlled racers.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5)
Set in corrupted backwaters teeming with warped monsters and opposing Hunters, Hunt: Showdown 1896 is a punishing extraction shooter. Find the bosses, secure their bounty, then battle to reach an extraction point, playing alone or alongside as many as two teammates. Its grim setting makes it a natural Halloween choice, and PlayStation Plus members also receive a boost from the starter pack detailed below.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5, PS4)
In World Brothers 2, the square Earth faces another assault by giant foes. The lineup includes updated voxel takes on familiar enemies as well as entirely new threats. Put together a four-soldier team drawn from the mainline EDF games and spin-offs, then head into battle. Both PS5 and PS4 support online co-op for four players and local split-screen for two, so this is the only selection playable on last-gen hardware.
HorrorFest exclusive packs for Warzone, Hunt, and Overwatch 2
Running through the month, PlayStation Plus members can claim horror-themed in-game item bundles for several PS5 and PS4 games. Each pack drops on its own date, so they are not all live at once.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars
Limited-edition Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars become available October 6 through Sony Pictures Core, alongside the film’s release on the app. PlayStation Plus members may get the avatars in the app without paying extra; others need to purchase the film through Sony Pictures Core to unlock them.
The promotion ends October 20, 2026, and the avatar voucher code expires October 6, 2027. The avatars are only available in regions where Sony Pictures Core operates.

Before the October titles roll in, the September Monthly Games are still up for grabs. You have until Monday, October 5, to add them to your library, after which they drop out of the Monthly Games slot.
