The weekly Sprite drops, the season’s steadiest draw
The Sprite Collection loop is the throughline of Chapter 7: Season 3. Every Thursday a new Sprite or special variant begins appearing, which you find at Extraction Sites or with Portable Extractors and add to your collection. These weekly arrivals have been the season’s biggest crowd-pullers — the July 23 Pollo Sprite drop drew over 900,000 marks of interest, and the early-July Holofoil variant topped a million. There’s no reason to rush a single drop, since new Sprites and variants stay on the Island for the rest of the season, but the Thursday cadence is the reliable thing to plan your collecting around.
Mastery Mondays, the weekly leveling window
Mastery Mondays is the most dependable fixture on the calendar: a 24-hour boost that runs every Monday from 9 AM ET to 9 AM ET the next day. During the window, Legendary and Mythic Sprites appear more often and level up twice as fast, extractions pay out double Sprite Dust, and Daily Quests hand out extra Portable Extractors so you can pull your equipped Sprite from anywhere on the map. Turnout runs in the mid-teens of thousands rather than the hundreds of thousands the big crossovers pulled, but if you’re pushing a roster up in power, it’s the window to build your week around — and it comes back every Monday.
Weekend boost events, worth watching for
Alongside the weekly drops, the season has leaned on short weekend “Hours” events — Shinier Hours on July 25 drew over 600,000 interested, and Holofoil Hours and Shiny Hours ran the two weekends before it. These are brief, roughly two-hour windows with themed twists: big-head modes, self-revive devices on drop-in, specific Sprites appearing far more often, and better odds on rare Gold, Gummy, Galaxy and Holofoil variants. Epic hasn’t announced the next one yet, but they’ve landed on several weekends this season, so it’s worth checking back. Because each session is so short, they reward being online right at the start.

Chapter 7: Season 3 launched June 6, 2026 and runs through August 19 — a 76-day season themed around Sprite Collection, the Zero Point, and mercenaries, with its content Acts and promotional push all branded “Runners.” Launch reshaped the map with a batch of new named locations, including Shattered Coast, Calamari Canyon, Golden Grove, Heatwave Harbor, Sunken Shores, and Wonkeeland, according to Fortnite Wiki’s map notes. It has moved through its Acts since: Runners Act I: Gone Wild arrived June 25, 2026, Runners Act II: Hot Bat Summer followed on July 16, 2026, and Runners Act III arrived July 30, 2026.
The season’s back half leaned on timed crossovers and boosts. The Holofoil Sprite rollout in early July drew the biggest turnout of the run, with more than a million players marking interest; a FIFA World Cup Finals crossover added a Striker Hours boost that wrapped July 20, 2026; and Save the World’s ninth-birthday week ran through July 29, 2026.
