The Nintendo eShop Summer Sale 2026 is live across the US, Canada, and Brazil, with more than 2,000 titles discounted on both Switch and Switch 2. The standout this year is the lineup of first-party games on sale at the same time, which Nintendo rarely does outside the holiday window.

Quick answer: The sale ends July 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Buy before that cutoff to lock in the discounted price; once the timer passes, prices return to regular retail.

Nintendo first-party deals you rarely see discounted

Nintendo almost never marks down its own games, so seeing Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Hyrule Warriors reduced together is the main reason to pay attention to this event.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is 30% off. The Switch 2 Edition runs at 4K 60 fps and is down to $48.99, while the Switch 1 Edition is $41.99. If you already own the Switch 1 version, the Breath of the Wild Switch 2 upgrade pack deal is also 30% off at $6.99 instead of $10.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is 30% off at $41.99, and its full expansion pass is also reduced, bringing the complete package to around $59.48. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity matches that 30% cut at $41.99, with its expansion pass DLC discounted too. A free demo of Age of Calamity is on the eShop if you want to test it first.

Best value third-party deals

The deepest savings come from third-party publishers. Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe is the strongest value in the sale, dropping 75% to $17.49 from its $69.99 regular price. That price covers the base game, deluxe content, and the full Sunbreak expansion, and it holds an 88 Metacritic score.

Persona 5 Royal is 70% off at $17.99, one of the lower prices it has reached on the eShop. Unicorn Overlord Monarch Edition drops 70% to $20.99 from $70, a strong pick for tactical RPG fans. The Persona Collection bundles Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable for $26.99, while Persona 3 Reload Digital Deluxe is 35% off at $45.49.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is one of the steepest cuts at 80% off, landing at $7.99. On Switch 2, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is 58% off at $28.99.

Sub-$15 budget picks

If you want maximum games for the lowest spend, several titles fall under $15. The original Hades for Switch 1 is 70% off at $7.49 and runs fine on Switch 2 through backwards compatibility, making it a cheap way to test the roguelite loop before committing to Hades II.

Switch 2 ports and newer releases

Several recent Switch 2 ports are discounted, including some that have improved through post-launch patches. Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition is 40% off at $35.99, down from $60, and post-launch updates have cleaned up the technical issues seen at release. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is also 40% off at $35.99, with its Premium Edition reaching $64.98 at 35% off.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII for Switch 2 is half off at $34.99, and SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS drops 65% to $17.49. Tomb Raider I-III Remastered on Switch 2 is 70% off at $8.99.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections is on sale for the first time at $55.99 (20% off), and new DLC for it has been announced at $9.99.

Deals worth grabbing ahead of upcoming releases

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is confirmed for Switch 2 on August 28, 2026. Dark Souls Remastered at $20 is a sensible way to get used to FromSoftware’s stamina management, dodge timing, and build variety, all of which carry into Elden Ring.

Red Dead Redemption received a Switch 2 Edition with 4K 60 fps performance and is $24.99. With a sequel rumored for the platform, catching up on the first game now is a reasonable bet.

Regional availability and stretching your budget

The full sale is active in the US, Canada, and Brazil. Players in Europe and other regions can still find roughly 800 discounts, but the complete event has not rolled out globally yet, so some first-party cuts may not appear in every storefront.

Discounted Nintendo eShop gift cards can lower your effective cost further when stacked on top of these sale prices. Whatever you choose, the discounts hold only until July 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT. After that cutoff, the eShop reverts each title to its standard price, and the rare first-party reductions on Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Hyrule Warriors are the ones least likely to return until the next major sale window.
