Palworld 1.0 Best Base Locations (With Coordinates)

Ten build spots across Sunreach, the World Tree, and the new islands, each with exact coordinates.

Ten build spots across Sunreach, the World Tree, and the new islands, each with exact coordinates.

Palworld 1.0 added two new regions, seven new islands, and reworked the old map so resources now sit almost everywhere. That change shifts what makes a base spot good. With mining structures easing resource pressure, the strongest locations now win on layout, water access, and looks rather than raw ore proximity. The picks below all sit in the fresh 1.0 content, not the old pre-update map.

Quick answer: Fast travel to Sun Reach Crystal Pool at coordinates -540, -1361 and place foundations directly in the shallow water. It balances open flat terrain, Soralite access nearby, and no aquatic kit requirement. Build off to one side, since Jetragon spawns there as the local world boss.

Sun Reach spots: Crystal Pool and Soralite Cluster

The Crystal Pool at -540, -1361 is a shallow crystallized pool you can build straight into, no aquatic kit needed. The ground is flat, open, and easy to work with. The only real risk is Jetragon, the region’s world boss, so anchor your base to the side of the pool rather than in the center.

The Soralite Cluster at 583, 144 sits on an open ridge packed with Soralite ore, the material now gating much of the strong 1.0 gear and firearms. Soralite only spawns in the Sunreach region, which ties resource-focused bases to this area. You do not have to camp on the node, since the Soralite mine unlocks later, but keeping the ore within walking distance saves trips early on.

Underground and sinkhole bases

Two sinkholes give you a ready-made bunker layout. The Sandstone Sinkhole at -1281, -633 is a desert plateau hiding a drop into an underground chamber. Add a ladder and you have a covered base without any real engineering.

The Prettier Sinkhole at -259, -1398 is the better of the two. It has water at the bottom, greenery, and two mineshaft exits instead of one, which makes movement and defense easier. If you want an underground base with more character, choose this one.

Flat and low-effort spots

Flame Pulse Island at 788, 457 is a flat central zone on one of the new islands, set well away from the hidden world boss. There are no special resources here, just a lava flow you can build around for a more striking layout.

Half-Made Village at -266, -1492 is flat and open with pre-built structures and waterfalls already in place. Tall grass and the existing buildings do most of the visual work for you. Expect company, though, since this spot is an obvious draw for other players.

Vertical and view-focused spots

The Vertical Waterfall Zone at -220, -1498 delivers dramatic vertical scenery, but the sheer volume of water tanks the frame rate. Building here is a genuine challenge and best suited to players who prioritize looks over comfort.

Scouring Eyelet at 409, -693 has stacked rock pillars, ravines, and a small bridge that suit a hanging-wall build. A world boss sits close by, so plan your defenses before you settle in.

Foot of the World Tree at 841, 639 is as close as you can get to a World Tree base right now. Building inside the World Tree itself is blocked entirely in 1.0. The lakeside plots here need the aquatic building kit, and you get jungle views in return.

Building over water in 1.0

The headline building change in 1.0 is that you can place a base over any body of water. Every lake, pond, and stretch of ocean becomes usable ground. The pillars near the arena at 661, -60 are a solid anchor point for an over-water build with no foundation problems.

Note: Deeper water needs the aquatic building kit. Shallow pools like Sun Reach’s Crystal Pool let you drop foundations directly without it.

How to confirm a spot works before you commit

Travel to the coordinates and check the placement grid. If foundations turn green over the water or ground, the spot accepts a base. Red placement usually means you need the aquatic kit or a flatter patch.
Scan for the nearest world boss. At the Crystal Pool and Scouring Eyelet, offset your base away from the boss spawn so raids and roaming attacks do not hit your structures.
Decide on resource dependence. Mining structures cut how much you rely on nearby nodes, so pick Sun Reach’s Soralite Cluster only if you want ore within walking distance rather than mined automatically.

Across these ten spots, the Sun Reach Crystal Pool remains the most balanced choice for looks, workability, and resource access. If you value privacy or a specific aesthetic more, the sinkholes and over-water builds give you strong alternatives without giving up much.
