A Lay of the Land is a two-stop objective on the Spaceport map that only counts if you complete both tasks in a single deployment and extract alive. You’ll hit Jiangsu Warehouse for paperwork, then move to Control Tower A6 for a LIDAR scanner, and finish by handing it in to Shani.

Quest objectives and run requirements

  • Reach the Jiangsu Warehouse.
  • Find the shipping notes in the foreman’s office.
  • Locate the scanners on the upper floor of Control Tower A6.
  • Deliver 1 LIDAR Scanner to Shani.

All steps must be done in the same run. If you die before extraction, the progress won’t register.

Jiangsu Warehouse: find the shipping notes

Deploy to Spaceport and push west toward Jiangsu Warehouse. Approach from the westernmost door. Inside, head up the staircase on your right. At the top, turn right into the foreman’s office and search the desk for the shipping notes.

Keep your pack light here; you still need to cross the map for the scanner and an extraction.

Control Tower A6: secure the LIDAR scanner

From the warehouse, move toward the center of the Spaceport. Control Tower A6 sits next to the main launch tower—look for the smaller, square structure rather than the tall tower.

  • Enter and go up to the upper floor.
  • Exit the stairs and take the first right; then another right toward a short metal barrier.
  • Loot the small container/cubicle behind the barrier to get the LIDAR Scanner.

Equip the LIDAR Scanner once it’s in your inventory. This helps ensure it’s tracked properly through extraction.

Extract and deliver to Shani

With both the shipping notes and the scanner secured, route to an extraction point and leave the topside without dying. Back at base, deliver one LIDAR Scanner to Shani to complete the quest.

Note: The quest expects both objectives to be completed in the same deployment. If you extract after only one, you’ll need to repeat the run.

Once turned in, A Lay of the Land is done, and you’re clear to move on to your next contract on Spaceport.
