Complete Communication Hideout (step by step)

Step 1: Enter a Buried City raid and navigate to Old Town’s Red Tower. Move into the tower’s courtyard—this is where the quest items and interactables are clustered, so you won’t need to roam far.

Step 2: Locate the battery cell on the courtyard ground. It sits in or beside a small bag/backpack near a metallic unit, opposite the generator. Interact with the bag to reveal the battery, then pick it up.

Step 3: Carry the battery to the generator’s open panel and install it. The generator is within the same courtyard, close to where you found the bag, so the carry distance is minimal.

Step 4: Turn the generator on from its control panel. Look at the front or right side of the unit for the interact prompt, then power it up to restore electricity to the area systems.

Step 5: Boot the antenna terminal inside the Red Tower. From the generator, move right and climb through the open window to reach the stairwell. Go through the broken wall on the right, climb the ladder to the roof, then head right again to a yellow control box around the corner. Interact to activate the antenna terminal and complete the quest.

Stay safe around Red Tower (quick precautions)

Step 1: Check the courtyard before interacting. ARC patrols and scanners regularly sweep the area; clearing or avoiding them first prevents interruptions while you handle the generator and terminal.

Step 2: Approach from cover and listen for enemy audio cues. If patrol density spikes, pause your interactions, reposition, and resume when it’s quiet.

Step 3: Expect other Raiders. If another squad contests the courtyard, disengage briefly and re‑enter once they move on; the interactables persist, and you only need a few seconds to finish the final activation.

Completion check and next steps

After activating the antenna terminal, the quest flags as complete immediately. You do not need to extract for credit. If you still have time left in the raid, you can loot nearby or rotate to other objectives before extracting as normal.
