“Keeping the Memory” is a short, story-driven quest from Celeste that plays out entirely on Dam Battlegrounds. You’re tracking down a missing helmet at a crash site in the Formical Hills and returning it to a small memorial — no crafting, no combat requirements, just a focused objective chain you complete in one raid.

Quest objectives (single raid)
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Reach the wreckage in Formical Hills (Dam Battlegrounds). |
| 2 | Find and pick up the missing helmet at the site. |
| 3 | Return the helmet to the nearby memorial and place it. |
Map location: Formical Hills wreckage (Dam Battlegrounds)
Deploy to the Dam Battlegrounds map. Set your route to the “Wreckage” point in the Formical Hills — it sits toward the southern forested portion of the map, between the Scrap Yard and the Testing Annex. The site is easy to spot thanks to a large ruined spider-like ARC machine lying in the clearing.

Detailed steps: pick up the helmet and place it at the memorial
- Approach the wreck and scan the ground around the fallen machine. Look for a short length of wires that lead up to a simple stick set into the ground — that stick is the memorial post.
- Near that post, check the small bush just ahead of the wire trail. The helmet sits at the base of the bush.
- Interact to pick up the helmet, walk it back to the stick, and interact again to place it on top. That completes the in-raid portion of the quest.
If you don’t see the prompt right away, sweep slowly for the usual glowing yellow interaction highlight that marks quest items and objects in the world.

Extraction and turn-in
The placement at the memorial satisfies the objective chain for the run; a successful extraction isn’t required to keep that progress. After the round ends — whether you extract or not — open the Traders menu back at base, select Celeste, and complete the quest from her tab to claim the reward.
Co-op and quest behavior that apply here
- Quest progress is shared across the fireteam. If a teammate places the helmet, everyone on the quest gets credit.
- Quest interaction objects are highlighted in yellow when you’re close, which helps confirm you’re at the right bush/post.
- Some quests count items already in your stash and typically don’t consume them on turn-in; this task uses an in-world pickup and placement, so you won’t lose anything from inventory.

Why this quest matters in your progression
Quests are a core progression track in ARC Raiders, regularly paying out Raider Coins, XP, and items. “Keeping the Memory” is a quick, low-risk objective that’s easy to slot into a Dam Battlegrounds raid route — especially if you’re already moving through the southern points of interest. Complete it once, bank the reward, and keep building your relationship with Celeste for future mission chains.
