Basketball Zero Style Rankings After the Thief Update (June 2026)

Where every style lands right now, plus what the Haizaki-inspired Thief addition brings to the court.

Where every style lands right now, plus what the Haizaki-inspired Thief addition brings to the court.

The styles you spin for in Basketball Zero decide how you move, dribble, score, and defend, so picking the right one matters more than raw skill in many matches. The meta right now leans hard into aggressive scoring, which pushes pure point-getters to the top and leaves slower playmaking options behind. The Thief Style, inspired by Haizaki, has also just joined the roster as a Legendary addition.

Quick answer: For the strongest results, run an S+ scoring style such as Psychic, Cyber, Symbiote, or Spider. If you cannot pull one, any Mythic-tier style works fine in the current meta.

Thief Style and the latest update

The Thief update went live on Saturday, June 6 at 12:30 PM EST and stays active until Tuesday, June 9 at 8:35 PM EST. Its headline feature is the Thief Legendary Style, a Haizaki-inspired addition built around stealing possessions, disrupting opponents, and turning those takeaways into scoring chances.

Alongside the new style, the update brings fresh codes and quality-of-life improvements. Log in during the active window if you want the chance to try the Thief Style early and grab any time-limited rewards before it closes.

S+ tier styles

The newest scoring styles sit at the top. Psychic, Cyber, Symbiote, and Spider all focus on putting the ball in the hoop, and their dodge and dunk tools are the hardest in the game to answer. Psychic stands out for long-range offense, positioning tools, and an unblockable pass, while Cyber leans on precise, unguardable shots and short-range repositioning. Symbiote barrels through blocks with momentum-fueled drives, and Spider opens up acrobatic finishes plus webbing effects that slow opponents.

Basketball God is a limited style with strong dribbling moves and excellent dunks, though it is hard to obtain. Emperor blends offense and defense with crowd control, solid dribbling, and a ball-snatching skill, making it the pick for tactical passers. Ace, after its rework, regained top status thanks to a reliable drive, multi-step crossovers, and auto-aim finishing.

The creator styles Chrollo and Tatlis both reward aggressive play. Chrollo combines long dribbles with a full-court shot that can miss from extreme range, while Tatlis drops a paint puddle that stuns enemies and guarantees a steal, backed by a long dash that also locks in a steal. Perfection rounds out the tier with blink movement and one of the strongest dribble kits in the game, though it can be buggy.

S tier styles

Gold is a top mythic style, but you need to chain its abilities together to get the full value, and it recently regained a defensive buff for pressure and blocking. Lazy Worker is high risk, high reward. Its effects lean on RNG, yet once you cook a burger your shot is guaranteed from anywhere, and a separate ability locks in a two-pointer off a loose ball.

Star climbed up the rankings after buffs that fixed its weak dribbling, giving it a strong drive to blow past defenders. Flash works as both a scorer and a dribbler and shines in mobility-focused hands, especially when its awakened “I Am Speed” move is ready. Copycat is one of the rarest styles and copies an opponent’s abilities, which only pays off if you have mastered the styles you steal. Giant offers both blocking and finishing through its Post-Form ability, but you have to stay close to the basket to use it.

A, B, C, and D tier styles

Switcher lets you swap positions with a teammate at any time, which is excellent for coordinated play, and its awakened mode adds versatility. Sniper is the best pure shooter for easy three-pointers but offers little beyond range. Jackpot delivers strong stealing and counterattacks for players who want impact without the spotlight, and Phantom creates chances with a great bullet pass while lacking self-scoring.

In B tier, Uncle Sam supports the team with boosts and a dive combo but falls behind dedicated scorers. Playmaker and Clutch only really work against weaker lobbies, with average abilities that struggle in the current aggressive meta. Down in C tier, Lock is a solid defensive style with strong block power held back by a very low pull rate, while Fetch and Quick are basic starter options that lack the tools for higher ranks.

Chuck sits alone in D tier. It is a luck-based style that boosts attributes based on win and loss chances, so it can occasionally spike but is unreliable for serious play. Skip it unless you are playing casually with skilled friends.

How to spin for better styles

Save your Lucky Spins for last. Normal spins should come first, since Lucky Spins guarantee a Legendary, Mythic, or Miracle rarity item. If your normal spins do not land anything strong, fall back on the Lucky Spins to secure a higher-rarity style or zone.

Redeeming the latest Basketball Zero codes before you spin gives you extra attempts at the meta styles. Pairing a top style with a complementary zone, such as Emperor Vision for speed-based picks or Street Dribbler for Ace, is what pushes a strong build into a winning one.

With the Thief Style now in rotation, expect the rankings to shift once players learn its kit, but the S+ scoring styles remain the safest bet for climbing the court today.
