Code Vein 2’s trophy list is compact but structured: three ending trophies, a set of time-travel “Changed history” trophies, bosses, and a handful of progression and upgrade milestones.
Quick answer: You earn the Platinum by unlocking all 36 trophies; the three endings are earned in a fixed order within one playthrough by using the main menu’s post-ending options.
Code Vein 2 trophy count and completion requirements
There are 36 trophies on PlayStation, including the Platinum Legendary Hunter for unlocking every other trophy. On Xbox, the same list totals 35 achievements because there’s no Platinum equivalent.
Trophy completion does not depend on difficulty settings, and there are no online trophies. Manual saves are not supported, so progress relies on autosave behavior.

Ending trophies: exact triggers and verification
The three endings are designed to be earned sequentially in a single playthrough. After each ending, the game returns you to the main menu with a new option that advances you to the next ending path.
A Hero’s End unlocks after defeating the boss in the Luna Racapis. This is the first ending for every player.
Luna Fraterna unlocks after clearing A Hero’s End, then selecting Continue from the main menu and progressing until defeating the boss at the top of the Sealing Spire.
Miraculous Bonds unlocks after clearing Luna Fraterna and completing all four Timeline Decision Missions (the four “Changed history” trophies). At that point, a Rescue Lou option appears on the main menu; completing that mode awards the ending.
How you know it worked: the trophy pops as the ending is viewed, and the main menu gains the next progression option after the prior ending is cleared.

Timeline Decision Missions (Changed history trophies)
These four trophies are both standalone unlocks and the required gate for the Miraculous Bonds ending.
A Bridge to the Future is earned by changing history on MagMell Island. After obtaining the time travel forma via the story and returning to the present, activate the bond to reach 2177: Assault on MagMell Era, then defeat Franz the Dejected Assailant. The boss defeat also corresponds to A Friend’s Wish.
An Undying Vow is earned by changing history in the Corroded Scar. After defeating One-Armed Hero Lyle, speak with Lyle at Forward Base One: North in 2187: Free Exploration Era, then return to 2277: The Present, investigate the grave at Forward Base One, and obtain Lyle’s Rusted Sword. Use it to activate the bond to 2182: The Hero Lyle’s Era 2, defeat Pioneer Queen Imogen, then return to the present and later fight Hero Lyle in the Pioneer Castle.
Life in Full Bloom is earned by changing history in the Undead Forest. After defeating Her Holly the Reaper, interact with the bond in the Withered Greenhouse and speak with Monica. Defeat enemies at the Ruined Town and Sanatorium to obtain both of Camilo’s Remnants, then activate the bond to access 2183: The Hero Holly’s Era 2. Progress through the past sequence that leads to defeating Camilo, then return to the present to speak with him and later defeat Hero Holly.
A Place of Memories is earned by changing history in the Sunken City. After defeating Josée the Blind Hero and completing the Undead Forest history change, pick up Lise’s Hair Ornament from the Sanatorium in the Undead Forest. That item enables activating the bond at Josée’s Outpost to reach 2192: The Hero Josée’s Era 2. After helping Josée and returning to 2277: The Present, obtain the Shelter Key near the clock tower area, clear the Underground Shelter, then return to the past segment again. Later, defeat Alessandro Gobbo, and back in the present defeat Hero Josée.
How you know it worked: each “Changed history” trophy pops after the sequence resolves, and the present reflects the change.

Boss trophies tied to story and timeline paths
Most boss trophies are automatic as you move through the story and the four history-change arcs.
- Total Darkness: defeat Josée the Blind Hero.
- Hollow Inside: defeat One-Armed Hero Lyle.
- Penitence: defeat Hero Holly the Reaper.
- Duty Fulfilled: defeat Hero Zenon.
- Guardian: defeat Pioneer Queen Imogen during the Corroded Scar history-change chain.
- A Journey Beyond Measure: defeat Hero Lyle after the Corroded Scar chain progresses into the present.
- Family Man: defeat Camilo during the Undead Forest history-change chain.
- Warm Rays: defeat Hero Holly after returning to the present in the Undead Forest chain.
- Messiah: defeat Gobbo during the Sunken City history-change chain.
- True to Oneself: defeat Hero Josée after returning to the present in the Sunken City chain.
- A Friend’s Wish: defeat Franz the Dejected Assailant in the MagMell history-change chain.
Exploration trophies: Hot Springs and unlocking the full map
Master Bather unlocks after visiting every hot spring location.
Touring the Frontier unlocks once the entire map is unfogged. Map fog is cleared by destroying Map Jammers, which appear as red flowers and are indicated on the map with red circles.
How you know it worked: the trophy triggers immediately once the final hot spring is visited or the last fogged region is cleared via Map Jammers.

Upgrade trophies: weapon, Jail, bequeathed forma, blood code, regeneration
Several trophies are simple “hit the maximum level once” checks. You only need to max a single item in each category, not every item in the game.
Friend of Few Words requires upgrading one weapon to its cap. Regular weapons upgrade to +20 using Crimson Stones, while special weapons upgrade to +5 using Light Stones. Weapon upgrades can be done at Jadwiga by the forge in MagMell or at Jadwiga’s Minions across the map.
Demon Eater requires upgrading one Jail to +20 using tiered Platinum, also handled through Jadwiga or her Minions.
Hand-Me-Down requires upgrading a Bequeathed Forma to +5 using tiered Remnant Hearts, again via Jadwiga or her Minions.
In Your Hands requires obtaining a blood code of the highest rank by reaching the last blood code in a partner’s blood code line. One fast path is completing Lycoris’s line, since she has two blood codes. Access to her ends after clearing the Undead Forest, so the timing matters.
Unbreakable Bond requires maxing Regeneration by using Golden Nectar and Golden Blood Bead at Mistles to increase healing charges and healing per use.
Slot unlock trophies: second weapon slot and booster slots
Another Weapon unlocks when your second weapon slot becomes available. The trigger is upgrading any Jail to +11.
Beyond Limits unlocks after gaining extra booster capacity through Requests from a Friend: Holly. The description is misleading: you must unlock two extra booster slots, not one.
How you know it worked: the trophy pops once the slot unlock is registered, not merely when you begin the related request or upgrade path.

Irreplaceable (max partner affinity): what counts and why it can fail to trigger
Irreplaceable unlocks when a partner reaches maximum affinity. Affinity is not shown as a visible bar and is earned through three capped activities that must be mixed.
- Exploration with the partner: general play while they’re active, including combat, pickups, and opening chests.
- Completing the partner’s Requests: finishing their request content contributes affinity.
- Gifts: partners accept most gifts. Boiled Egg is broadly accepted and can be mass-produced by buying eggs from a Jadwiga’s Minion near the Refugee Village Mistle in the Sunken City and crafting them.
Common reason it doesn’t trigger: each activity has an internal cap, so grinding only gifts (or only battles) may stop contributing before the max threshold is reached. The trophy tends to unlock only after you’ve progressed across all three contribution types.
Combat and systems trophies: conditional traits, overburden, drain attacks, transformations
These trophies are essentially first-time system checks and typically happen early unless you avoid the mechanic.
The Tie That Binds unlocks the first time you trigger a conditional trait, which depends on the equipped Blood Code and its conditions. It can be triggered early after acquiring Noah’s Blood Code and equipping it.
The Price of Power unlocks the first time you cause overburden by equipping gear that pushes the blue burden bar over the corresponding attribute value. Overburden affects dodge effectiveness and can interact with certain traits.
Hungry Hungry Hunter unlocks when you perform a Special Drain Attack after staggering an enemy. The on-enemy indicator is a red circle; pressing R2 near the staggered target triggers the attack.
Adapt Your Arsenal unlocks after customizing weapon formae at a Mistle. Weapon formae are assigned skills activated with R1 plus the face button they’re mapped to.
In Pursuit of Perfection unlocks after transforming equipment through Jadwiga in MagMell. Transforming a weapon requires a Breath material; transforming defensive formae requires a Runeleaf material.
A Bond of Blood unlocks after mastering any blood code by filling its proficiency bar while defeating appropriately leveled enemies with that blood code equipped.

Wings Deployed! (gliding) trigger
Wings Deployed! unlocks once you glide far enough. Gliding becomes possible after unlocking the motorcycle at the end of the prologue island.
While riding, you can jump with X. If you’re high enough, pressing X again midair initiates gliding. The distance requirement is short; a brief glide off a cliff is typically sufficient.
How you know it worked: the trophy pops as soon as the glide distance threshold is met, without needing to finish a quest or reach a specific location.
Once the three ending trophies, the four “Changed history” trophies, the two exploration trophies, and the upgrade/system trophies are all unlocked, Legendary Hunter is awarded automatically.
