Microsoft is rolling out Alexa support for Xbox One through the Xbox Insiders program. The service is available as an Xbox Skill that allows Alexa-enabled devices such as Echo, Sonos, Harman, and various others to control Xbox One over voice.

You can command Alexa to launch games, adjust volume, take screenshots, and more on your Xbox One through voice only. Voice command will work like “Alexa, start Far Cry 5”.

How to Enable Alexa on Xbox One

  1. Make sure you’re signed in on your Xbox.
  2. Go to this link, sign in with your Amazon account, and click Enable.
  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account to link the Alexa skill to your account.
  4. Wait for Alexa to find your Xbox One console, then follow the onscreen instructions to pair your Xbox One to Alexa.

That’s it. To test your setup, launch a game on your Xbox through Alexa by calling out “Alexa, start [game name].”
