The Twisted Relic in Fisch looks like another rare fish entry in the Bestiary, but it behaves more like a high‑stakes enchant relic. It adds a single, powerful modifier to your rod with a mix of strong bonuses and harsh penalties, and it competes directly with exalted relics for that main enchant slot.


How to get Twisted Relic in Fisch

Twisted Relic is tied to Merlin on Sunstone Island and to his questline.

Once the quest is done, Merlin’s dialogue gains an option to view his shop. Inside that shop, Twisted Relic appears as a purchase for 500,000 C$. You can only buy one of them every 30 minutes, so stacking a large number for mass enchanting takes time as well as money.

In the Bestiary, Twisted Relic is listed under Relics with Sunstone Island as its location. It has normal fish stats, but the important line is its flavor text: taking it under the Statue of Sovereignty “curses” your equipped rod with its power. That’s the actual trigger for the enchant.

How Twisted Relic works on your fishing rod

Twisted Relic behaves like a special main enchant relic, not a secondary one.

  • You use Twisted Relic at the Statue of Sovereignty while a rod is equipped.
  • The rod is given one random “twisted” enchantment out of seven possibilities.
  • The twisted enchant occupies the same slot that an exalted relic would use.
  • You can still add a cosmic enchant on top of a twisted one.
  • You cannot also run an exalted relic on that same rod at the same time.

The result is a rod with a normal enchant slot ecosystem, but the exalted layer is replaced by this “twisted” layer. That opens up combinations like Greed plus a cosmic enchant on a money‑farming rod, or Fractured with a cosmic for speed‑focused setups.

Twisted Relic enchants are fixed packages: you do not reroll individual stats, you reroll the entire enchant by using another Twisted Relic on that rod.


All Fisch Twisted Relic enchants and what they do

Every Twisted Relic use rolls one of seven named enchants. The design is intentionally “give and take”: the strongest buffs come with some of the harshest trade‑offs in the game, and three of the seven are pure debuffs.

Rage enchant in Fisch (Twisted Relic)

Rage turns each wiggle of the fish in the bar into a damage roll on the progress bar. On every movement, there is a 40 percent chance to “stab,” adding 8 percent progress instantly. Those stabs stack up quickly on longer fights, especially on large or rare fish that move a lot.

The price is steep: Luck is cut in half, and Resilience drops by 20 percent. That makes Rage a better fit for rods that start with very high Luck and Resilience, such as Polaris Serenade or Heaven's Rod. On mid‑tier rods, the loss in rare catches and consistency can outweigh the time saved.


Greed enchant in Fisch (Twisted Relic)

Greed is the standout option for raw money and aquarium farming. It increases fish size by 50 percent, directly pumping weight and sale value.

  • The lure takes 30 percent longer to be bitten.
  • Progress speed during the fight drops by 5 percent.

On rods that already catch fish almost instantly, the lure slowdown is manageable. Paired with Nates blade, Greed contributes to a 150 percent weight buff passive, making that combo one of the strongest for stacking heavy fish. Players also use Greed on Evil Pitchfork, Fabulous Rod, and similar size‑focused builds where every extra kilogram matters more than a small slowdown.


Fractured enchant in Fisch (Twisted Relic)

Fractured is the cleanest speed tool in the set. It boosts progress speed by 50 percent straight up, at the cost of 0.1 Control. For rods that already have a large control bar, that shrink is noticeable but manageable.

On Polaris Serenade, Nates blade, or Cerulean Fang rod, Fractured compresses fights sharply without ruining stability. On lower control rods, though, the narrower bar can make misses and escapes more common, erasing the benefit.


Pharaoh's Curse enchant in Fisch (Twisted Relic)

Pharaoh's Curse focuses on mutations rather than stats. It gives a 25 percent chance for each catch to become a Sandy mutation fish. Sandy in its current form uses a 0.5× (or 0.5x–0.5ish) multiplier, which is substantially lower than the big meta mutations like Magical.

That means Pharaoh's Curse reads like a “no downside” perk on the enchant screen, but the outcome is still weaker fish compared to most high‑tier mutations. It is mostly useful if you have a very specific need for Sandy variants, or you want a twisted enchant that does not nerf any rod stats directly.


Putrid, Weak, and Wobbly enchants in Fisch (Twisted Relic)

The last three enchants are effectively curses. They apply only negative stats without compensating bonuses.

  • Putrid reduces Luck by 10 percent.
  • Weak reduces the rod’s maximum kg by 10 percent.
  • Wobbly reduces Control by 0.05.

On most rods, these are simply reroll candidates. However, they can become tools when combined with rods that key off low control, such as Merlin’s Staff. By shaving control, Wobbly lets Merlin’s Staff hit its 0.2 control threshold faster, triggering its +30 percent progress explosion sooner and more often. That turns a supposedly “bad” roll into a synergy piece in the right build.


Twisted Relic vs exalted and cosmic relics

Twisted Relic enchants live in the same conceptual space as exalted relics but follow different rules:

When Twisted Relic is worth it

Each Twisted Relic costs 500,000 C$ and 30 30-minute of cooldown, which makes blind rerolling painful. It becomes worth the cost when it pushes a rod deeper into a clearly defined role:

  • Money and aquarium farming: Greed on Nates blade, Evil Pitchfork, or other high‑lure‑speed rods to maximize weight.
  • Fast grind setups: Fractured on high‑control rods for faster catches in mid‑ or late‑game spots.
  • Control‑based gimmicks: Wobbly (and sometimes Weak) on Merlin’s Staff or similar control‑driven rods to accelerate passives.
  • Progress spike builds: Rage for players willing to sacrifice rare catch odds for raw speed on already lucky, resilient rods.

If a roll hits Putrid or another enchant that clashes with your build, the only remedy is using another Twisted Relic and trying again. With the cost and cooldown where they are, it pays to decide first what you want the rod to do, then commit Twisted Relics only to rods that can exploit those specific strengths.


Twisted Relic sits in a strange spot in Fisch’s relic ecosystem: on one hand, several of its enchants are obviously worse than doing nothing; on the other, a few of them can push late‑game rods into extreme, specialized tools.
