MSConfig is one of the most popular Windows customization tools that lets you adjust your system settings so you get the best experience while using the OS on your machine. Now, after 25 years, the tool has gotten an update and renamed SuperMSConfig, which has been designed specifically for Windows 11. A major advantage of SuperMSConfig over MSConfig is that the former does not show all the services, so users cannot accidentally disable all the services and make their system unusable.

With SuperMSConfig, you can:

  • Reconfigure the Windows OOBE: You can reconfigure the Windows 11 out-of-the-box setup and adjust the settings just the way you want after Windows is installed. This lets you optimize various services and disable intrusive features, so you can control how your system functions once it is set up.
  • Automate MSConfig: SuperMSConfig automates and streamlines MSConfig operations, so you do not need to manually configure it. The tool also helps keep your PC running smoothly by identifying unnecessary services and apps and cleaning them up.
  • Powerful System Checker: Windows 11 keeps many unwanted services, ads, and apps running in the background. SuperMSConfig can check for these and prevent them from negatively affecting system performance.

Things to know

  • SuperMSConfig only shows options that are safe to configure, so even users without much technical knowledge can use it without any issues.
  • The tool is especially handy if you want to limit Microsoft's access to your data. This will prevent Windows from using your data to show ads within the OS.
  • If you are unsure about a setting, make sure to read up about it before configuring it using the SuperMSConfig tool.
  • You may want to create a backup of your system first in case something goes wrong so you can easily revert it.
