File size and how to pre-load

The Season 4 download is approximately 6.2 GB. On PC, you can pre-load it through the Battle.net launcher any time before launch, so the game is ready the instant the season opens.

Open the Battle.net desktop app and select Overwatch from your game list.
Let the pre-load download finish ahead of time. When the update is fully applied and servers go live, the play button becomes active and you can jump straight in.

Season 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

New Tank hero: D.Mon

The headline addition is D.Mon, a new Tank who pilots a mech in the same vein as D.Va. Her kit leans into close-quarters pressure, pairing a melee weapon and a shield with a machine gun, which gives her both ranged and up-close options on the front line.

What’s included in Heroes of Busan

Beyond the new hero, Season 4 is a large update that touches cosmetics, maps, competitive play, and events. Here is the full breakdown.

CategoryDetails
Hero Mythic SkinKoi of Duality for Genji
Weapon Mythic SkinEternal Crystal for Sojourn
Battle PassFull revamp, including the return of older Battle Passes to keep permanently
Map reworksBusan, Eichenwalde, and Paraiso (visuals and layout changes)
CompetitiveRank reset plus the new “Emerald” rank
EventsTeam Drives and Shooting Star: My Meka Mania
CollaborationOverwatch x LE SSERAFIM

The Battle Pass overhaul is one of the bigger structural changes, since previously expired passes come back for players to complete and keep. A hero balance update with stat, ability, and perk changes lands alongside the season, with the full patch notes published on launch day.

Once the countdown hits zero and the launcher finishes updating, you will see the new Battle Pass and D.Mon appear in the hero roster, which confirms the season is live on your account. If the update stalls, keep Battle.net open and let it retry rather than closing the client, since the server rollout can stagger slightly by region.
