Download Curiosity AI and connect your apps
- First, visit the Curiosity AI download page and click on the 'Download' button for Windows. The tool is also available for macOS and Linux.
- Open the installer once it is downloaded and Curiosity AI will start installing on your system. Once it is installed, you will see the welcome page, where you can create a new account or sign in if you are an existing user. Click on the 'Get Started' button.
- You can sign up using your Google or Microsoft account. Click on the option you want to use.
- If you want to sign up with your email, click on it and then enter your details before clicking on the 'Continue' button. You will need to verify the email address you signed up with by entering the code sent to it.
- Then, you will need to connect your files. Click on the checkboxes next to the items you want to connect and then click on the 'Continue' button.
- On the next page, you can connect your apps with Curiosity AI. Click on the 'Connect' button for the app you want to connect and you will see a few options. For instance, you can connect your Gmail to search through and organize your emails right from your computer.
- You will need to grant permission before Curiosity AI can connect with it. Click on the 'Sign in with Google' button at the bottom.
- A new browser window will open allowing you to sign in to your Google account. Once you've logged in, make sure to click on all checkboxes to provide Curiosity AI access to your account before clicking on the 'Continue' button.
- In the same manner, you can connect other apps, including Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, YouTube, and many more. Once you've connected the ones you want, click on the 'Continue' button.
- Next, you need to enable Clipboard History, so Curiosity AI can store information that you copy and make it accessible whenever and wherever you need it. Click on the 'Enable Clipboard History' button.
- On the next page, click on the 'Enable AI Assistant' button.
- After you enable the AI assistant, you will get the option to activate a 14-day trial of the Pro version of the tool. If you want, you can click on the 'I'm in' button to do so, otherwise click on 'Not Now' below the button.
- Finally, click on the 'Done' button. Now, you can start using Curiosity AI on your system.
Using Curiosity AI
- Once you've set up Curiosity AI, you will see the homepage of the tool. On the left are the apps, utilities, notes, and folders you can connect with the tool.
- If you want to add additional search locations, click on the 'Computer' option on the left and then on the gear icon on the top right.
- Click on the 'Add folders' button and navigate to the folder you want to add.
- Close this window and now you can launch Curiosity AI from anywhere using the
Alt + Space
shortcut, which will show you a floating search box.
- To search for an app or a file, simply type its name in the search box. For instance, you can type
sticky notes
in the box and the app will show up in the results. You can simply click on it or press the 'Enter' key to launch it.
- Similarly, you can search through your emails for connected email accounts.
- Depending on the apps you connect you can search through your contacts, messages, and more, as already mentioned above. You can also use the 'Spaces' feature to save things in one location. Hover over the 'Spaces' item on the left and click on the '+' button.
- Enter a name for the Space and then click on the 'Create' button.
- The Space you create will appear on the left under the 'Spaces' menu. To add items to it, simply drag and drop them into the Space. Alternatively, right-click on the item and click on 'Add to Space'.
- You can remove items from a Space in the same manner by opening the Space, right-clicking on the item, and clicking on 'Remove from Space'.
- Besides this, you can use Curiosity AI as a calculator. Type your calculation into the search bar and it will show you the output. You can press the 'Enter' key to copy it to your clipboard.
- To activate the AI assistant built into Curiosity AI, launch the tool and type
AI Assistant
before pressing the 'Tab' key. You will see the chatbox for the AI assistant appear.
- Type in your query or request and press the 'Enter' key to interact with the AI assistant. You can use the assistant to generate code, text, summaries, reply to conversations, search through files, and more.
