Mitya and Valeriy in Genshin Impact 7.2: Early Kit Leaks Explained

What the early leaks say about Mitya’s Stellar Conduct DPS role, Valeriy’s support buffs, and how the two work as a pair.

Mitya and Valeriy are the two Snezhnaya characters currently lined up for Genshin Impact version 7.2, following the Vesna and Vodyanitsa banners in 7.1. Both were introduced during the 7.0 Archon Quest “Everwinter Without Mercy,” and early kit information now points to a paired playstyle built around the Stellar Conduct reaction. Everything below comes from unofficial leaks and can change before the characters reach a live build.

Quick answer: Mitya is expected to be a 5-star Electro DPS who scales off Elemental Mastery and reshapes how Stellar Conduct deals damage, while Valeriy is speculated to be a 4-star Electro support who provides a shield, a 20% damage bonus, and 120 Elemental Mastery. The two are designed to be played together.

When Mitya and Valeriy release

Both characters are tied to version 7.2 in the leaked Snezhnaya release order. That roadmap places Vesna and Vodyanitsa in 7.1, Mitya and Valeriy in 7.2, and the Cryo Archon Tsaritsa alongside Danica in 7.3. Mitya is not part of the 7.1 lineup, so his debut banner is expected to arrive one version later.

No official release date and time for 7.2 has been confirmed. Early estimates put the update in the early November 2026 window based on the game’s usual six-week update cycle, but treat that as unconfirmed until HoYoverse announces it.

Mitya: rarity, element, and role

Mitya is expected to be a 5-star Electro character. His Vision display in the 7.0 story is actually a mistake according to an in-game notice from HoYoverse. The correct display is a Stellar Linchpin rather than a standard Electro Vision, which ties him directly to the new Stellar Conduct system.

His damage scales off Elemental Mastery, and he can be built for either an on-field or off-field role. At lower investment he plays more like a self-sufficient DPS that leans on Elemental Mastery buffers such as Sucrose. At higher investment he shifts toward a sub-DPS or support role, where ATK-buffing teammates become more valuable. His Elemental Skill reportedly has both a Hold and a Tap version.

How Mitya changes Stellar Conduct

The most interesting part of Mitya’s leaked kit is his effect on Stellar Conduct itself. Normally, Cryo and Electro reacting with a Stellar Linchpin character on the team creates a Polestar field. Every elemental application inside that field raises its level, which increases the Stellar Conduct multiplier. Characters standing in the field then deal direct Stellar Conduct reaction damage, while the underlying reaction contributes nothing on its own.

With Mitya on the field, that changes. The base Cryo plus Electro reaction reportedly starts dealing Stellar reaction damage, and the Polestar field itself begins contributing damage too. In practical terms, your characters would deal direct Stellar Conduct damage while the field adds its own Stellar damage on top, similar to how Stellar Swirl vortices behave.

Another leaked detail describes a prism in the center of the Stellar Conduct field that launches after an element is applied a set number of times, dealing reaction damage. This turns the mechanic from a mostly direct-damage system into a mix of direct and reaction damage, with elemental application and reaction frequency becoming central to Mitya’s output.

The on-field role is described as the more prominent one. When Mitya is off-field, this special modification does not apply, and he falls back to being an Electro applicator that can still trigger Stellar Conduct damage, comparable to how Yae Miko operates. Some early notes also suggest parts of his support capability are tied to his Constellation level.

Mitya is also expected to receive a long Story Quest in 7.2, and he is said to synergize well with the Tsaritsa. A dedicated Story Quest would expand his background within the broader Snezhnaya plot.

Valeriy: rarity and support kit

Valeriy’s rarity is not confirmed, but current leaks point to a 4-star Electro sword character. Many players expected a 5-star after the Snezhnaya trailer, so the 4-star placement is the main surprise around him. He is built as a support who stays on the field rather than a damage dealer.

His leaked support profile centers on three things: a team shield, a damage bonus, and an Elemental Mastery boost. The buffs are aimed squarely at reaction-oriented teams, giving both survivability and offensive scaling to characters like Mitya who depend on reaction-based Stellar Conduct.

Valeriy’s reported buff values include a 20% damage bonus and 120 Elemental Mastery, delivered alongside his shield. He can also act as a substitute for the Tsaritsa in Mitya teams, which makes him a flexible budget option for players who do not have the Cryo Archon.

Why Mitya and Valeriy are built to pair

The leaks consistently frame the two as a Stellar Conduct duo. Mitya provides the on-field damage and the reaction transformation, while Valeriy handles defense and offensive buffs from the same team slot. Valeriy is described as an important part of Mitya’s team and a stand-in for the Tsaritsa when she is unavailable.

Looking further ahead, Danica is rumored to arrive in 7.3 as a dedicated Cryo Archon support with Cryo and Electro resistance shred. That leak suggests she may fit Cryo Archon teams more closely than Mitya teams, which could split the Stellar Conduct meta into different team-building paths. Danica’s details are explicitly marked subject to change, so they are the least reliable part of this outlook.

All of this comes from pre-release leaks rather than an official reveal. Kits, rarities, buff values, and release timing regularly shift during beta testing, and HoYoverse has not confirmed any of it. Treat the numbers and mechanics here as a snapshot of where the datamining currently stands, not a final blueprint for how Mitya and Valeriy will play at launch.
