Ball VS Ball: How to Get Coins Fast and Win Every Match

How the ball picks, aim lock, and free Gacha rewards work in the Roblox 1v1 arena.

How the ball picks, aim lock, and free Gacha rewards work in the Roblox 1v1 arena.

Ball VS Ball turns every round into a short, decisive 1v1. You step onto a platform, queue for an opponent, pick one of three randomly offered balls, aim it, and then watch the two balls fight it out automatically. Coins come from winning battles, and those coins unlock more balls in the shop. Everything that decides a round happens in the two windows before the fight starts.

Quick answer: Win coins by taking the 1v1 platform, picking the ball that counters what your opponent picked, locking your aim directly at their ball, and claiming the free Ball Gacha rewards for your first battle win, liking and joining the group, and inviting a new player.

How a round in Ball VS Ball works

A match is a best-of series of short rounds. Each round runs through the same four beats, and only two of them accept your input.

Stand on a 1v1 platform in the lobby to enter the queue. The screen switches to a waiting state until a second player joins, and an Invite button sits there so you can pull in a friend instead of waiting.

When the round opens, a “CHOOSE YOUR BALL” prompt appears with a 30-second timer and three random options. Your opponent’s ball is visible on the field, so read it before you commit.

Aim next. The “ADJUST YOUR AIM” phase also runs on a 30-second timer, and you point your ball at the opponent before pressing Lock Aim to confirm the direction.

The fight resolves on its own. Your ball moves and uses its ability against the opponent’s ball, and the survivor takes the round. Win enough rounds and you take the match plus the coin payout.

If the three options in front of you are all bad against what you are facing, the game lets you reroll your ball mid-battle rather than riding out a losing pick.

Ball abilities and what each one does

Every ball behaves differently, and the ability text on the selection screen is the whole rulebook for that pick. Three of the common early options are worth memorizing because they show up constantly in the roll.

BallAbility
Burst BallDashing makes your hits much stronger.
Vampire BallSticks to an enemy, hurting it and healing you.
Machine Gun BallShoots the closest enemy.

Other balls in rotation include Axe Ball, Poison Spike Ball, Spider Ball, Beam Ball, Cannon Ball, Spike Ball, and Bomb Ball. Balls carry rarities, with Rare and Legendary tiers among them.

Picking the right ball to win the round

The pick is a counter-pick, not a favorite. Burst Ball performs strongly against short-range and stationary threats, and it can carry rounds against Machine Gun Ball, Axe Ball, and Poison Spike Ball in a clean sweep. Vampire Ball works by closing distance and latching on, which is why it beats slower single-shot options like Cannon Ball.

The counter-pick logic fails against sustained ranged damage. Beam Ball in particular punishes both Burst Ball and Vampire Ball, since neither reliably closes the gap before the beam wins the exchange. Machine Gun Ball is the answer there, because it returns fire instead of trying to travel. That same Machine Gun Ball then loses to Spider Ball, so a ball that won you one round is not automatically the right pick in the next.

Tip: Wait for the opponent’s ball to appear on the field before you lock your choice. Selecting on instinct in the first few seconds of the 30-second timer throws away the only real information you get.

How to get coins fast

Coins come from winning battles, and a match win pays out 100 coins. There is no passive income stream to lean on, so coin rate is simply match rate multiplied by win rate. Two habits move that number.

First, cut dead time in the queue. Waiting on a random opponent is the slowest part of the loop, so use the Invite button to bring a friend straight into the lobby rather than sitting idle on the platform. Second, use the reroll. A round lost to a bad roll costs the same as a round lost to bad play, and rerolling out of a doomed matchup protects the win that pays.

Coins spend in the shop, where you unlock new balls. A wider collection means the three random options you get each round are more likely to include something that answers what you are facing, which feeds back into the win rate.

Free Ball Gacha rewards and how to claim them

Three free rewards are available outside of normal coin earning, and each is claimed once.

RewardHow to claim it
Ball GachaFinish your first battle. The confirmation reads “You got a Ball Gacha for finishing your first battle.”
Advanced Ball Gacha +1Like the experience and join the ATYS 3 group.
Bonus Ball GachaInvite a new player. Both of you receive one.

Opening a Ball Gacha adds a new ball to your inventory, and it can drop options like Spider Ball. To claim the like-and-join reward, hit the thumbs up on the Ball VS Ball experience page and then join the ATYS 3 community before returning to the lobby.

You know a reward landed when the Gacha opening plays and the new ball appears under the Balls tab of your inventory. If the Advanced Ball Gacha does not register, the usual cause is that only one of the two conditions was met — the like and the group join both have to be done.

Inventory categories: Balls, Explosions, Flyers, and Fusion

The inventory splits into four tabs. Balls holds everything you can be offered during selection. Explosions and Flyers hold cosmetic effects. Fusion is where you combine balls to produce skins, which is the main use for duplicates you pull from Gacha rewards.

Matches are short enough that a single bad pick rarely ends a run, but a repeated bad pick will. Read the opponent’s ball, treat Beam Ball and Spider Ball as the picks that punish greedy close-range choices, and lock your aim with time to spare. The lobby also lets you spectate other players’ matches, which is a free way to watch matchups you have not fought yet before you queue again.
