Magma Village hides one of the more straightforward Island Secrets in the First Sea, and it starts with a single breakable crater sitting in a pool of lava. Hit it, and the island throws a full nest of fire enemies at you. Clear them, and The Mayor hands over a chunk of levels for the trouble.
Quick answer: Break the crater in the middle of the lava pool near the Magma Village dock, kill the large Magma Elemental that spawns along with every Mini Magma Elemental, then return to The Mayor to claim your reward.
Magma Village lava pool secret: location and requirements
Magma Village sits south of Pirate Village in the First Sea, distinguished by the smoking volcano in the middle of the island. The secret you want is on the front half of the island, in the lava pool close to the dock. You will usually spot it before you find it, since Mini Magma Elementals wander out of the crater and set the nearby red trees on fire.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Island | Magma Village, First Sea |
| Secret location | Lava pool near the dock |
| Trigger object | Crater in the center of the pool |
| Enemies | One large Magma Elemental plus Mini Magma Elementals |
| Turn-in NPC | The Mayor |
| Reward | Levels and money on completion |
There is no boss unlock or quest pickup gating this. You do not need to talk to anyone first, and you do not need to be at the island’s normal grinding range of 300 to 375 to set the nest off. The real barrier is the lava itself, which drains health the entire time you stand in it.

Tip: pull the fight back toward solid rock whenever you can. The elementals will follow you out of the pool, and fighting on dry ground stops the lava from chewing through your health bar while you chase the last few spawns.
Surviving the lava while you fight
The lava on Magma Village is a damaging surface, and standing in it is what kills most players here rather than the elementals themselves. A handful of fruits let you ignore it completely.
| Fruit | Lava protection on this island |
|---|---|
| Magma | Full immunity through the Lava Immunity passive, awakened or not |
| Mammoth | Immune while transformed |
| Leopard | Immune while transformed |
| Venom | Immune while transformed |
| Everything else | Takes damage on contact |
Without one of those, treat the pool as a hit-and-retreat zone. Break the crater, back out, and let the elementals come to you. Carrying a healing food item makes the whole thing much less tense if you plan to stay in the pool.
Claiming the reward from The Mayor

How to confirm it worked, and why it sometimes doesn’t
The payoff is immediate and hard to miss. Finishing the dialogue awards a batch of levels on the spot, along with money. A mid-level character can jump several levels in one go, and a run at level 139 lands at 144 after the turn-in. The island’s secret also flips to complete, adding one star toward the island’s three-star total.
If the objective refuses to close out, it is almost always one of two things. Either a Mini Magma Elemental is still alive somewhere around the pool, in which case the counter will still show a number remaining, or you never fully destroyed the crater and the large elemental never spawned. Sweep the edges of the pool and the burning trees nearby before assuming it is broken.
This is one of three secrets on Magma Village, and clearing all three is what fills out the island’s stars and feeds into unlocking the First Sea teleporter. The elemental nest is by far the least fiddly of the set, so it is a sensible one to knock out first while you are already on the island in Blox Fruits.
