Project Slayers 2: How to Get V2 Weapons for More Damage

Unlock the Ouwigahara Dungeon, bank 90,000 Dungeon Points, and gather the exact materials each V2 katana recipe asks for.

Unlock the Ouwigahara Dungeon, bank 90,000 Dungeon Points, and gather the exact materials each V2 katana recipe asks for.

V2 weapons are the first real damage jump past the standard katanas in Project Slayers 2, and every one of them is locked behind the dungeon. You cannot buy them, drop them, or trade your way into one. You craft them at a second forge that only opens after a blacksmith quest, and the bill is steep enough that most players start farming materials well before they can actually place the order.

Quick answer: Hit Level 65, take Blacksmith Togane’s “Your other forge” quest, then spend 90,000 Dungeon Points, 500 Metal Scraps, Silk Thread, and 10 Mythic Refinement Ore at the Nichirin Forge.

V2 weapon crafting requirements

Every V2 recipe shares the same core cost, then adds its own base weapon and dungeon-specific materials on top. Check your totals before you queue a run, because the points are the slowest part to rebuild.

Metal Scraps500Chests, Ginzo in Hidden Mist Village
Silk Thread300–400Chests
Mythic Refinement Ore10Dungeon points or Mythic salvage

The base weapon matters. A Thunder Katana feeds the Thundercloud Katana, and each recipe lists its own boss or dungeon materials alongside the shared costs. Open your inventory and count everything first, since the forge will not partially reserve materials for you.

Unlock the Ouwigahara Dungeon with Blacksmith Togane

The second forge does not exist for you until the blacksmith sends you to it. This is a single quest, but it has a hard level gate attached.

Travel to Hidden Mist Village and enter the forge building. Blacksmith Togane is inside, standing at the anvil.
Talk to him and pick the “Your other forge” dialogue option. The quest requires Level 65, and the prompt will show that requirement if you are under it.
Accept the quest. Next, travel to the Forgotten Ruins near Rengoku, passing Rengoku and proceeding beyond the torii gates.
Cross the bridge at the end of the long path and step into the portal. You get teleported into the dungeon hub, which has its own shops, a book that starts runs, and a Weapons Area.

Stock potions in the hub before you interact with the book. There is no way to restock mid-run.

Farming 90,000 Dungeon Points

Points come from dungeon floors, and deeper runs pay far better than repeated shallow ones. Clearing to somewhere around floors 60 to 70 generally lands you at the 90,000 mark, though the exact total swings with how cleanly you play and how much you kill on the way down.

Points are also the currency for dungeon chests, and that is where the budgeting gets painful. The Ouwigahara Chest costs 30,000 points per pull and hands out legendary accessories like the Nichirin Lantern and the Silver Fang Mask. Every pull is a third of a V2 weapon, so decide upfront whether you are saving for the craft or gambling on gear.

How to get 10 Mythic Refinement Ore

Ore is the one material you cannot casually stumble into. There are two routes, and they suit very different players.

  • Dungeon Points: 30,000 points buys one Mythic Refinement Ore, which means 300,000 points for a full set of ten.
  • Salvage: Finish Denzo’s quest to unlock his salvage feature, then dismantle Mythic-rarity items into Ore.

Salvaging is far cheaper if you have been hoarding Mythic drops from earlier farming. Duplicate Mythic gear you will never equip is effectively free Ore, and it keeps your point balance pointed at the 90,000 you actually need for the craft.

Where to get Metal Scraps and Silk Thread

Both materials drop from chests, so they accumulate naturally while you explore and run the dungeon. If you are short on Metal Scraps specifically, Ginzo in the Hidden Mist Village market sells them, and he also buys duplicate items off you for currency and materials. Clearing out junk inventory and reinvesting the money into Scraps is usually faster than chest hunting for the last hundred.

Craft the V2 weapon at the Nichirin Forge

Return to the dungeon hub after your run and walk over to the Weapons Area. The Nichirin Forge sits there with Blacksmith Togane stationed beside it.
Talk to Togane to open the V2 recipe list. You will see entries such as the Thundercloud Katana, Volcanic Katana, Tidal Katana and Tornadic Katana, each showing its required base weapon and material costs.

Select the recipe that matches the katana you already carry and confirm the craft. The forge consumes the base weapon along with the points and materials.
Check your inventory. The V2 weapon replaces the base katana there, and the Archives will show its stat line so you can compare it against what you were running.

There is a second confirmation worth doing. Head back to the Blacksmith in the main game and open his menu. A successful V2 craft unlocks that weapon’s matching V3 recipe, so if the V3 entry is now visible, the craft registered correctly.

Push the V2 weapon’s damage higher

A freshly crafted V2 is not finished. The damage numbers people quote come from refinement and stacked gear bonuses on top of the base weapon.

Refine it at Refiner Hagane

Refiner Hagane works out of the Hidden Mist Village forge and takes Wen plus Refinement Ores to push a weapon toward Level 10. Success rates collapse at the top end, and an 8 to 9 attempt can sit at roughly 5.5 percent. Use Refinement Guards on those attempts, since a failure without one can downgrade the weapon instead of just wasting materials.

Spend skill points on Additional Damage

Open the Skill Tree and follow the damage branch first. Additional Damage is the line that feeds directly into your M1 output, with Max Health, Stamina Regen and Block Points worth filling afterwards.

Stack accessories and haoris

Accessory slots carry both flat damage and a damage multiplier, and the two stack differently depending on your build. The Stone Haori from Gyomei at the Stone Sanctuary near the Verdant Cliffs gives +2 Additional Damage, a 1.02x Additional Damage Factor, +100 Max Health and +80 Max Stamina, which makes it one of the more accessible upgrades once you are already travelling to Hidden Mist Village.

Low-percentage boss drops like the Bamboo Muzzle from Nezura sit at around a 3 percent drop rate, and the Sabito mask at roughly 2 percent, so they are not worth grinding as a first step. Legendary dungeon masks such as Demonic Horns II generally beat them on damage, health and stamina anyway, which circles back to the same resource pool as your V2 craft. Finish the weapon first, then decide where the next 30,000 points go.
