The Shugo Festival is Aion 2’s rotating set of party minigames, and it sits apart from the usual dungeon grind. Instead of a single combat objective, you drop into short activities built around racing, climbing, flying, memory puzzles, and protecting NPCs. Finish a round and you can claim gear, upgrade materials, and the festival’s own currency, provided you have keys to spend.
Quick answer: The festival rotates through nine minigames every hour. Play any one, then spend a Shugo Festival Reward Key per card on the results screen to collect loot, including guaranteed Centuryroot Tokens.

How entry and Reward Keys work
Festival windows open on a recurring hourly schedule. When one is live, a Shugo icon appears next to your minimap, and clicking the timer lets you register for one activity before the short countdown ends. One minigame is drawn from the pool each window, so what you can play changes from hour to hour.
Playing a minigame is free. Claiming its rewards is not. After a round ends you are shown a set of reward cards, and selecting a card consumes one Shugo Festival Reward Key. The better your placement, the more cards you are allowed to pick, up to the maximum the game offers for a top finish. If you place high but hold only two keys, you can still only make two selections.
Keys are handed out automatically once per day and cannot be bought or farmed through other means. Free accounts receive fewer keys and can bank fewer of them than subscribers, and the exact daily amount and storage cap have shifted between versions and regions. Because of that, treat your own in-game counter as the source of truth rather than a fixed number.
It is generally worth saving keys for rounds where you finish near the top, since a strong placement unlocks more card picks and a weak one wastes keys on fewer rolls.

Each activity has its own objective, player cap, and time limit. All of them are designed to wrap up in roughly five minutes or less, and scoring rules differ, so a strategy that wins a race does nothing in a memory puzzle.
| Minigame | Objective | Players | Time limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jump Jump | Dodge moving lasers as a Shugo while grabbing balloons for points | 1–4 | 2:55 |
| Not This Tile? | Memorize safe tiles over eight rounds and collect bubbles | 1–6 | 3:15 |
| Hidden Lugi | Shugos hunt disguised Lugis; Lugis gather Odyle Drops unseen | 2–9 | 3:30 |
| Odyle Flight Frenzy | Fly through the canyon collecting Odyle Drops using boost rings | 1–8 | 3:30 |
| Goldrin’s Treasure | Find and open treasure chests marked by light beams | 1–8 | 3:50 |
| Wraith Evasion | Collect Odyle Drops while avoiding (or escaping) wraiths | 1–6 | 5:00 |
| Mysterious Track | Race mounts to the finish, dodging obstacles and grabbing boosts | 1–8 | 5:00 |
| Defend Shugo Merchants | Hold off enemy waves and protect the Shugo merchants | 1–8 | 5:00 |
| Up! Up! Up! | Climb moving platforms as a Gravi to reach the highest point | 1–8 | 5:00 |
A few scoring quirks are worth knowing before you queue. In Jump Jump, touching a laser subtracts points, so clean dodging matters as much as collecting. Not This Tile? settles ranking on your total across eight rounds, and you only keep points if you end a round on a correct tile. Defend Shugo Merchants gives you petrification chests to freeze attackers, but watch for exploding insectoids that ignore petrification and hit hard. In Wraith Evasion, getting caught turns you into a wraith, and you can only return to normal by tagging another player.
One important placement rule applies to Up! Up! Up!: you only become eligible for rewards once you reach the first checkpoint. Rank is then decided by how many checkpoints you clear and how far you get toward the next one.

Reward pools and guaranteed drops
Finishing a minigame gives you the main rewards straight away, and these include guaranteed Centuryroot Tokens plus Enhancement Stones. Centuryroot Tokens are the festival currency you later spend at the shop, and the equipment and material rewards scale to your character level, so there is value in playing as soon as the festival unlocks for you.
The reward cards you pick draw from five distinct pools:
- Chaos Weapons and Armor (rare rarity)
- Shade Weapons and Armor (common rarity)
- Odyle
- Refining Stones
- Abyss Points
You know a claim worked when the results screen confirms your selection. Canceling before you confirm does not burn a key, so you can review the available cards first. Once you complete the selection, it is final and cannot be undone.

Spending Centuryroot Tokens at the Festival Shop
Centuryroot Tokens are only accepted at the dedicated Festival Shop. The most valuable buys for most players are the progression consumables, especially Wisdom Stones and Daevanion Crystals, since they feed directly into skill and board growth. Both are capped in how many you can acquire, and clearing those caps costs a large pile of tokens, so plan which growth path you want before spending.
| Type | Item | Token cost |
|---|---|---|
| Consumables | Soul Codex (Bound) | 200 |
| Consumables | Wisdom Stone (Bound) | 350 |
| Consumables | Daevanion Crystal (Bound) | 50 |
| Consumables | Soul Crystal (Bound) | 20 |
| Consumables | Empathy Candy (Bound) | 20 |
| Wings | Violet Butterfly Wings (Bound) | 2,100 |
| Wings | Spirit Wings (Bound) | 4,200 |
| Wings | Springflower Butterfly Wings (Bound) | 8,350 |
| Pets | Wandering Merchant Lugi | 3,600 |
| Pantheon Decor | Superior Picture Frame Crafting Tool | 50 |
| Pantheon Decor | Ultimate Picture Frame Crafting Tool | 500 |
| Skins | Lightpath Trace Set (whole set) | 5,000 |
| Skins | Twilight Loop Earrings | 530 |
| Skins | Twilight Loop Necklace | 680 |
| Skins | Skilled Professional Set (whole set) | 24,900 |
| Skins | Starry Starry Night Earrings | 2,650 |
| Skins | Starry Starry Night Necklace | 3,400 |
Beyond consumables, the shop carries cosmetic wings, pets, pantheon décor, and armor skins that cannot be found elsewhere. If appearance items matter to you, the wings and skin sets are the long-term tokens sinks, while the Daevanion Crystals and Soul Crystals are cheap enough to pick up alongside your main targets. Prices and stock can change with store resets, so confirm the current cost and any purchase limit before committing a large token balance.
