All 21 pickaxes across 11 rarities, with their Cash cost, Power, and Mine Size stats.

All 21 pickaxes across 11 rarities, with their Cash cost, Power, and Mine Size stats.

The pickaxe is the tool that does everything in Mine Antarctica. It breaks crystals so you can sell or store them, and it carves a path up the mountain so you keep running into more crystals. You start with a basic one, and every upgrade from there costs Cash earned by selling what you dig up. There are 21 pickaxes in total, and the jump between each one is steep enough that your mining speed changes noticeably with every purchase.

Quick answer: Buy pickaxes at the Pickaxe Shop in the hub using Cash. The best one is the Ultima Genesis Core at 1 trillion Cash, with 1,000,000 Power and max Mine Size.

What Power and Mine Size actually do

Each pickaxe carries two stats, and both matter for different reasons. Power controls how fast you break a crystal. Mine Size controls how much of the mountain your swing clears at once, which widens the area you dig through on every hit.

Higher numbers are always better here. There is no tradeoff between the two, so comparing pickaxes is simple. A tool with more Power and more Mine Size is strictly stronger than the one below it. Once a pickaxe reaches a certain tier, its Mine Size caps out at the maximum the game allows, which is listed below as Max.

You can buy the whole lineup at the Pickaxe Shop inside the hub area of Mine Antarctica on Roblox. Cash is the only currency involved.

Mine Size stops climbing once you reach the Twilight Cleaver and shows as Max from there on, so the higher-tier pickaxes compete purely on Power. The Rusted Scrapper is the one you spawn with, so your first real purchase is the Splintered Timber at 25 Cash.

How to spend Cash as you climb

Because the stats roughly multiply with each tier, the most efficient approach is to buy the next pickaxe the moment you can afford it rather than saving up for something far ahead. Each upgrade raises how fast you break crystals and how much ground you clear, which feeds back into earning Cash faster. Sitting on money with a weak pickaxe only slows your whole loop down.

You will feel the biggest early gains in the Rare and Epic tiers, where Power roughly doubles each step while costs are still manageable. The late Empyrean through Ultima pickaxes are long-term goals measured in billions and trillions of Cash, with the Ultima Genesis Core sitting at the very top of the lineup.

A new pickaxe is confirmed the instant your Cash total drops by the listed cost and the tool equips from the shop. Once that happens, crystals break quicker and your swing clears a wider slice of the mountain, which is the clearest sign the upgrade went through.
