The Aniimo Style Contest is a Journey quest set entirely in Astra, built around a fashion showcase hosted by an NPC named Oscar. It recommends level 25 and runs across six objectives, from finding Oscar to equipping an Aniimo with an accessory at the end. The match itself is non-interactive, so the real work is simply triggering it and choosing which Aniimo represents you.

How to unlock the Aniimo Style Contest

The quest begins from a poster, not an NPC. Head to Chill Street in Astra and look for the poster decorated with sunglasses. Interacting with it starts the Aniimo Style Contest and points you toward the host.

From there, the objective chain moves to Horizon Square, where Oscar is running the registration desk. If the stage is still being built when you first arrive, you will be given the option to wait until setup finishes before the contest can open.

Aniimo Style Contest walkthrough

Travel to Chill Street in Astra and approach the poster with sunglasses on it. Interact with it to accept the quest.

Speak with Oscar, the Style Contest host, at Horizon Square. He says construction on the stage is ongoing, so select wait until the setup is finished.

Before you talk to Oscar again, summon the Aniimo you want on the field. The Aniimo currently summoned beside you is the one that enters the competition, so switch to your preferred companion first.

Speak to Oscar once more and confirm sign-up at the registration desk. He introduces three rival contestants: Albert with his Jawling (Claw), Lin Shuang with her Glacy (Claire), and Akutagawa with his Bonesky (Popsicle).

Watch the showcase play out. When your Aniimo takes the stage and looks nervous, pick the encouraging line such as “You can do it!” Oscar then tallies the audience vote and announces the rankings, with your Aniimo named champion.

Answer Oscar’s interview questions (any option is fine), take the commemorative photo, and let the epilogue narration play. Afterward, travel back to Astra and complete the final objective by equipping an Aniimo with an accessory.

You can even enter with an Aniimo that has no accessory equipped and still be crowned champion, so there is no need to prepare cosmetics beforehand.

How to confirm the quest is complete

The contest wraps with a group photo and an epilogue describing how the champion shifted the culture around Aniimo styling. Once you return to Astra and equip an Aniimo with an accessory to clear the last objective, the quest-complete screen appears and the rewards are distributed to your inventory.
