In Tideblossom Coast, Land Color: Echoback is the fourth of ten Journey quests in the Fragrant Dream chapter. Its only delivery task is to bring color back to one of the Colorless Dreams clustered near the seedling beside the Amethyst Tree. To finish, you’ll need Whisper of Longing, a perfume obtained by completing two earlier Journey quests.

The quest becomes available after you finish the A New Journey main story quest. Once that is done, head to the Amethyst Tree in Tideblossom Coast and inspect the seedling growing at its center. Ten Colorless Dreams spawn in a ring around it, and Echoback is one of them. In the quest chain, this step corresponds to clearing Clue: Colorless Dream: Echoback before the delivery stage opens.
The nearest fast-travel point is the Transporter in Tideblossom Coast, which drops you close to the tree and saves you the walk back each time you pick up a new perfume.

Get the Whisper of Longing perfume
Whisper of Longing is the legendary perfume this Colorless Dream wants. It is blended from a crystal-clear Whalesong Blossom found at Echoback Landing, the bloom that carries the pink of the Breezy Plains. You pick it up by finishing two Journey quests rather than crafting it yourself.

Everlasting Echoback Song starts by talking to Sorora at Echoback Landing, southeast of the Bloom, where he tells you the legend of the two Echobacks that appear at night. You then switch to night, Twine with a Fire-type Aniimo such as Scorchhowl to burn the thorny vine off the blue crystal, and hit it to produce a blue trail. Following that trail to each Echonite, clearing vines and breakable rocks along the way, triggers a cutscene with a whale and lets you collect the Whalesong Blossom. That blossom feeds directly into A Fragrant Journey: Echoback Landing, and finishing both quests leaves you holding Whisper of Longing.

Give color to the Colorless Dream – Echoback
Land Color: Echoback has only two objectives in total, so once the perfume is accepted the quest is marked complete and the rewards drop into your inventory. Color returns to that Dream, which is your on-screen confirmation that it worked.
