Keeping your Aniimo fed is what keeps a Homeland running. Workers assigned to facilities burn energy as they do their jobs, and their output drops once that energy gets low. Bread is the most efficient food you can give them, restoring far more energy per piece than anything else you can easily stock.

Quick answer: Feed your Aniimo Bread, which restores 26,740 energy per piece. Produce it in a Level 1 Claw Game Cooker using Wheatmeal, then place it in the Food tab of the Aniimo management screen so workers eat it automatically.

Food energy compared

Food is ranked by the energy it restores to a single Aniimo. The higher the number, the longer one piece keeps a worker fed and the less often you need to restock.

Bread is the top choice

Bread restores 26,740 energy per piece, which makes it the most efficient option for keeping a workforce topped up. A stock of Bread stretches much further than the same number of lower-tier foods, so your facilities stay at full efficiency for longer stretches while you are away.

You make Bread in a Level 1 Claw Game Cooker. Wheatmeal is the main ingredient, and since Wheatmeal comes from Wheat, the whole chain stays cheap and easy to sustain once your farmland is running.

Use Wheatmeal before you can make Bread

Until the Bread recipe is available, Wheatmeal is the best food to rely on. It restores 9,370 energy and is produced from Wheat in a Carousel Mill. Wheat is free to grow and quick to harvest, so Wheatmeal is simple to keep flowing in the early game.

Once Bread production is set up, switch your main food supply over to it and keep Wheatmeal only as a backup. One Bread covers roughly the same amount of energy as three pieces of Wheatmeal.

Skip Energy Bites

Energy Bites cost 30 Home Coins each and restore only 1,000 energy. That is a poor return on your coins compared with the food you can grow and cook yourself, so there is no reason to buy them for energy. Spend Home Coins elsewhere and feed your Aniimo with Bread or Wheatmeal instead.

How to set up Bread production

Raise your RV to Level 4. This unlocks the production facilities you need to process crops into food, including the Claw Game Cooker.
Build the facilities for the food chain. You need a Carousel Mill to grind Wheat into Wheatmeal and a Claw Game Cooker to turn Wheatmeal into Bread.
Make sure the required materials are sitting in your Homeland storage, then open a facility and select the recipe you want to run. Keeping enough Wheat and Wheatmeal stocked lets production continue while you are offline.

Place Aniimo with high-level Homeland abilities at these facilities to increase output. A personality that suits the facility provides an additional efficiency bonus; the Claw Game Cooker works best with a Practical (S) personality.

How to feed your Aniimo

You do not feed each Aniimo by hand. Open the Food section of the Aniimo management screen and place your cooked food there. Workers draw from this shared supply automatically whenever their energy runs low, so a full Food tab can keep an active workforce fed for days.

You know it is working when the Total Food Energy figure climbs and your facilities stay at full efficiency. When that supply empties, crops and items take longer to produce, and an Aniimo that goes too long without food can fall sick and stop working entirely. Reviving a sick Aniimo means giving it medicine or soothing it, so check in on your Homeland regularly and restock before the Food tab runs dry.
