Cemetery Cleanup is an Asmodian Episode quest set around the Nameless Cemetery in Altgard, part of the Stranger in a Strange Land chapter. It asks you to earn the cooperation of a foul-tempered gravekeeper named Tagar by thinning out local threats and then recovering relics that graverobbers stole, all while tracking the broker Brok through the graves.

Quick answer: Talk to Asahr, Ulgorn, then Tagar; defeat Vampire Vivel and two Rafflesia, then enter the Graverobber Den and collect all five Piles of Grave Loot before returning to Tagar.

Requirements before you start

The quest unlocks at level 10 and is tuned for a recommended level of 13. It begins automatically once you have finished the prior Episode quest, Urgent Pursuit, so there is no quest giver to hunt down first. It is an Asmodian-only questline; Elyos players follow a different Episode track.

  • Finish Urgent Pursuit (recommended level 13) to open this quest.
  • Be at least level 10; aim for 13 for a smooth run.
  • All steps take place in Altgard, between the Gravekeeper Camp and the Nameless Cemetery.

Talk through the three conversations

The opening of Cemetery Cleanup is a short chain of dialogue. You speak to three characters in order, and each one points you toward the next.

Speak to Asahr at the Dream Crossroad. He frames the hunt for Brok and reminds you that your purpose as a fragment left behind by AION is to seek out other fragments.
Talk to Ulgorn next. He reacts to the news that the Blades were chasing Brok’s companions and sends you to the gravekeeper who knows the cemetery best.
Find Tagar at the Gravekeeper Camp near the Nameless Cemetery. He refuses to guide you anywhere until you handle a couple of chores for him first, which starts the active part of the quest.

Clear the cemetery threats

Tagar’s first demand is to clear hostile monsters roaming the Nameless Cemetery. You need to defeat one Vampire Vivel and two Rafflesia, both around level 14. The Vivel is more aggressive and will chase you, while the Rafflesia are the plant-type creatures rooted among the graves. Pull them one at a time and the objective ticks off as you go.

Enter the Graverobber Den and retrieve the stolen items

With the chores done, head to the Graverobber Den, a small stronghold next to the Nameless Cemetery. The objective here is to collect five Piles of Grave Loot, each marked by a tall orange beam of light shooting up from the ground. Clearing or slipping past the guards is up to you; none of them pose much threat at this level.

Interact with the Graverobber Den Door to trigger the cutscene that pushes open the large circular stone door and takes you inside the stronghold.
Once inside, your tracker updates to collecting five Piles of Grave Loot. The chamber holds Graverobber Patrols, Assassins, and Chiefs, plus Tamed Kerrots, Black Armor Bees, and spiders scattered across the floors and landings.

Grab the first Pile of Grave Loot near the entrance, under an awning. A second pile sits close to the entrance steps and can be taken without pulling the nearby patrols if you move carefully.

Climb the stairs and deal with the Graverobber Assassin and Graverobber Chief guarding them, then take the third pile waiting at the top of the stair landing.

While you are inside, two optional chests are worth opening with the shining key: a Stronghold Chest on the upper landing up the stairs, and an Orb Chest resting on boxes below the upper walkway.

Return to Tagar and confirm completion

Leave through the same Graverobber Den Door, then glide and mount your way back to the Gravekeeper Camp. Hand the relics to Tagar to close the quest. You know it worked when he acknowledges the recovered relics and the cleaned-up cemetery, the reward screen appears, and the quest is marked complete in your log. From there the trail continues into Back on the Scent.

Black Armor Bee drops in the den

Black Armor Bees are among the creatures buzzing around inside the Graverobber Den. They are a non-aggressive Fera type, so they will not chase you, and they have a long drop table if you decide to clear them while hunting for loot piles. The table below lists what they can drop and the chance where a rate is set.

None of these drops are required for the quest, so treat them as a bonus while you move between loot piles rather than a reason to grind. The five Piles of Grave Loot and the shining key are all you need to satisfy Tagar and move on through Altgard.

Quest chain, den extras and camp bonus

Cemetery Cleanup sits in the middle of a run of Asmodian Episode quests in Altgard, all part of the Stranger in a Strange Land chapter. Each one unlocks at level 10.

Back on the Scent is given by Tagar and ends at the Neglected Crematorium. Its objectives are to defeat a Lost Specter and two Ancient Revenant Knights, then examine the corpse for traces of Brok. The quest after it is Dead Men Tell No Tales.

What to expect from the den guards

The Graverobber Assassin is a level 13 normal-rank Cogni. It is aggressive and has 27 spawn points in the Graverobber Den, so expect to meet several of them whichever route you take to the loot piles.

Extra experience and Kina nearby

The Graverobber Den also has its own Exploration quest. It starts automatically, unlocks at level 1, is open to both Elyos and Asmodian characters, and pays 16,673 experience. Separately, the Gravekeeper Camp has an Asmodian Bind achievement: activate the Kibelisk there to earn Kina x2,000. Since you return to the camp to finish the quest, it is a convenient stop.
