The Iconic Gonk Weekend is a limited-time event inside Fortnite’s Star Wars: Droid Tycoon, running under the wider Gonk-O-Ween celebration. It unlocks a new iconic Gonk droid called WG-22, switches on a set of 24-hour crafting boosts, and adds both a new Rebirth path and seven new power droids to the game.
Quick answer: Play during the event window to unlock WG-22 and earn Treats, Crafting Boost Tokens, and Nova Crystals, while 2x Credits, 2x Pickaxe, and 2x Crafting Speed are active for 24 hours from 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET on Saturday.
WG-22 iconic droid and its companion perk
WG-22 is the iconic Gonk droid at the center of the weekend. Keeping it as a companion grants a perk of 2x Flawless Chance, which doubles the odds of producing Flawless droids while you craft. That matters because Flawless droids feed directly into the base customization unlocks described below.
You unlock WG-22 by taking part in the event rather than buying it outright, and once it is unlocked it stays in your Droidex.

While the event is live, three multipliers are stacked on top of your normal play:
- 2x Credits
- 2x Pickaxe level
- 2x Crafting Speed
No specific calendar date for this weekend is officially confirmed, so treat the times above as the start schedule rather than a fixed date.
Rewards earned during the event
Four rewards are tied to playing through the weekend. Unlocking WG-22 is one of them, alongside three resource payouts you can carry into the rest of Gonk-O-Ween.
- Unlock the WG-22 droid
- Treats, the event currency used in the Gonk-O-Ween shop
- Crafting Boost Token
- Nova Crystals
Flawless Paint and Super Flawless Paint requirements
Base customization adds two paint unlocks that are gated behind collecting Flawless droids. Super Flawless Paint requires collecting 50 Flawless droids, while Flawless Paint requires 75. WG-22’s 2x Flawless Chance perk is what makes those totals realistic to reach, since it doubles how often Flawless droids appear during the boosted window.
You can check your progress toward each paint in the base customization menu, where a counter shows how many Flawless droids you have collected against the target.

Rebirth Path 6
A sixth Rebirth path arrives with the weekend event. Rebirths reset your progress in exchange for permanent upgrades to the base, additional Shipyard mission pads, and new Armory unlocks, so a fresh path extends how far long-term players can push their empire.
Seven new power droids added to the lineup
Seven new blueprint droids join the conveyor belt as permanent additions, separate from the limited-time event rewards. They are:
- KT
- MPH
- JO9-4MN
- ECG
- EG-58
- EGL
- PLNK

The Gonk Army teaser
The weekend is framed around a “Gonk Army” theme, previewed in a cinematic teaser that shows rows of Gonk droids marching across a moonlit desert at night. It sits inside the month-long Gonk-O-Ween celebration, the Halloween event for Droid Tycoon that runs through early November and features several themed weekends.

You will know the event has gone live when the Iconic Gonk Event banner and countdown timer appear on the Tycoon base, at which point the boosts activate and WG-22 becomes available to unlock.
