Shinku and Iroi headline a content-heavy update built around a permanent roguelike-style board game world.

Neverness to Everness Version 1.2, titled “999 Nights,” turns the game into a tabletop adventure. The update centers on a new permanent mode set inside a board game, two new S-Class Espers, a character-specific bike, and a stack of summer events. It also folds in quality-of-life changes for fishing, housing, and the Mahjong table.

Quick answer: Version 1.2 launches July 8, 2026, with Shinku and the 999 Nights tabletop mode at the start. Iroi follows when her banner opens on July 29, 2026.

Version 1.2 release date and banner schedule

Version 1.2 begins on July 8, 2026, which marks the game’s first six-week patch cycle. Shinku arrives first, and Iroi joins midway through. Each character runs alongside a signature Arc and the usual mileage rewards for a Glider Skin, Vehicle Livery, and Character Skin.

999 Nights tabletop mode and the Warren Continent

999 Nights is the headline addition, a permanent tabletop-inspired mode that drops the cast into the Warren Continent. The setup frames it as a board game the Appraiser, Mint, Iroi, and Shinku play together before getting pulled into the world itself. The land is full of fuzzies, but dragons have taken over, and the party works toward the Crimson Dragon as the main boss.

The mode uses its own progression system that is separate from the main game. Each party member has a class, defeating monsters grants EXP, and you collect gear and trade items along the way. Gear stats are randomized across seven equipment slots, and your Appraiser identity comes into play through appraisal skills that identify new drops.

  • Armor set bonuses grant extra stats inside the mode.
  • Accessories carry special effects.
  • You can only swap equipment at campfires and bonfires.
  • The Fuzz Merchant lets you trade and buy items, and NPCs hand out new quests.
  • Gear outfits are customizable, so you can build for stats or for looks.

The mode is built for repeat runs. Later playthroughs unlock more regions, additional quests, and stronger gear, and future updates will keep adding maps, equipment, and story.

Shinku: Cosmos DPS with a Rampage form

Shinku is a Cosmos Esper who uses Condensate Arcs and serves as a burst-focused main DPS. She runs two distinct combat and movement kits. In her normal form she builds her Divine Spirit gauge, and a successful dodge triggers a follow-up attack while reducing an enemy’s Break gauge.

Spending her gauge through her Ultimate sends her into Surging Crimson, her Rampage state. There, her kit changes entirely, her speed climbs, and she chains stronger attacks that deal Cosmos damage. As the state ends, she unleashes Crimson Judgment, with repeated Ultimate taps closing on enemies and finishing with a large AoE hit. On the overworld, she runs and climbs faster than most characters, and her Charge Enhancement shares energy with off-field characters whenever anyone on the team gains energy from Charge.

Iroi: Anima healer with Regression and three lambs

Iroi is an Anima Esper who uses Liquid Arcs and fills a healing and buffing role. She fights using three sheep named Morpheus, Icelos, and Phantasos, building Imagination through basic attacks and spending it with her Hold Basic. Her Regular Skill also builds Imagination, while her Hold Skill pushes teammates into the Regression state.

Regression makes characters invincible and swaps them out for Iroi’s three lambs, which inherit part of her offensive stats. While she is on the team, any character that drops to 0 HP enters Regression automatically. Her Ultimate works as either a heal or a damage tool, depending on her Imagination total. During the healing version, switching to a character in Regression fully revives them. Switching into Iroi with her support skill builds Imagination and heals the team. On the overworld, she can interact with small animals to receive useful items twice a day, and her Blossom Enhancement instantly regrows a Vita Bud when one disappears.

The Draco bike and the Elyms redesign

The Draco is a new Regalia bike designed around Shinku. It is the first vehicle that lets a character other than the Appraiser ride, and Shinku can take the wheel directly. The bike leaves a unique trail, spins its wheels during sharp drifts, and can jump. Pairing it with Shinku’s Dragon Knight outfit adds a crimson neon trail through Hethereau.

Elyms, the lieutenant of ETD-6, also received a character design update that amounts to a near-complete redesign. No further details about her were shared.

New events, including the Shadow-n-Seek prop hunt

Shadow-n-Seek is essentially a prop hunt played across Clement Academy. Each Hider gets a random set of three objects plus a decoy to fool the Hunters. Hunters carry a detection skill and must attack Hiders, but they take damage if they shoot a non-Hider object, so they can be eliminated too.

Going, Going, Gone is a deduction event where you attend auctions with companions who reveal clues about each lot and the right moment to bid. Other activities round out the calendar, including Fishing Frenzy, a Riichi Mahjong round that ends the moment one player completes a winning hand, and Mews Flash, where you grab scratchers around the city for prizes. A log-in event hands out 10 red dice, and the Summer Special Gift Pack grants a free S-Class Standard Character Selection Box once you have opened the mail feature.

Hethereau Hobbies and quality-of-life changes

The Sea Angler minigame now lets you keep your favorite fish at home instead of only selling them. You need a fish tank, which comes in different sizes for freshwater and saltwater. You have to adjust the pH to match each species, mix species carefully, and feed the fish so they stay alive. An auto-feeder and temperature control cover you if you would rather automate it. Caught fish can also be mounted as trophies on your car.

The Little Sparrow Mahjong minigame adds Riichi Mahjong, a more competitive variation playable at the Maid Cafe or any house with a Mahjong table. Housing gains a Decor Blueprint feature that lets you save and share house designs through the Bagel App, though you still need to own the furniture to use a downloaded layout.

  • The Portable Player interface has been simplified.
  • You can bulk select materials when leveling up characters.
  • A player reporting feature was added to Online Race battles.
  • Select outfits can hide certain parts and accessories.
  • Anomaly Hunt boss difficulty at Level 5 and above has been reduced.
  • Avatars were refined for a better display, and select outfits can now be dyed for custom colors and textures.

The update brings 19 new outfits, most of them tied to the 999 Nights mode, with three each for Zero, Mint, Iroi, and Shinku. Shinku’s Dragon Knight outfit carries special effects. Additional banner outfits arrive for Shinku and Iroi, and more swimsuits for other characters are planned for Version 1.3.

Platforms and what comes after

The game is expanding to more platforms, including Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Samsung Galaxy Store. It is also appearing at Anime Expo and running a collaboration with Beard Papa’s.

The 1.2 story continues from 1.1, building toward the showdown with the Scarlet Letter that takes place in Version 1.3, and Nanally returns. Version 1.3 has no confirmed release date yet, but it is expected shortly after Iroi’s banner closes on August 19, 2026. It will continue the Scarlet Letter storyline, add summer-themed events and seasonal outfits, more vehicles, and a new property described as a build-your-own standalone house with a homier feel.
