Xbox and Ubisoft have opened up a console-to-PC benefit that hands digital Xbox owners a free PC copy of select Ubisoft games. If you already bought one of the eligible titles on an Xbox console, the matching PC version now shows up in your Ubisoft Connect library at no extra charge. New digital purchases include both the Xbox and PC versions right away.

How to claim your free PC copy
You’ll know it worked when the eligible game shows up as owned in your Ubisoft Connect library, ready to download and install on PC. If it hasn’t appeared yet and you were an existing owner, the most likely reason is that the phased rollout hasn’t reached your account. Wait until August 4 before treating a missing title as a problem, and make sure the launcher is fully updated in the meantime.
What carries over to the PC version
For most of these games, the edition you own and any downloadable content follow you to PC without paying again. The main exception is consumable content. In-game currency and one-time-use items do not transfer.

To verify exactly what you own on PC, open Ubisoft Connect and check your library. The edition name tied to your account appears there, and each game’s Properties page lists the full breakdown of owned DLC and add-on content. Games that support cross-progression will also surface content already linked to your Ubisoft account.
The offer only runs one way
This benefit moves from Xbox console to PC, and only in that direction. Owning or buying the PC version of one of these Ubisoft games does not unlock the Xbox console version for free.
Note: this is not the same as Xbox Play Anywhere. Play Anywhere gives you the Xbox and PC versions together with full cross-save and cross-progression across both. The Ubisoft deal is strictly a console-to-PC grant, and cross-progression depends on whether the individual game supports it.
More Ubisoft content on the Xbox PC app
Alongside the free PC copies, Ubisoft has added premium editions and selected add-on content for a wide range of its games on the Xbox app for PC.
