Mt. Gelmir holds two Golden Seeds, both sitting beneath glowing Erdtree saplings that stand out against the region’s volcanic terrain. One grows along the river path in the lower reaches, and the other waits just outside the entrance to Volcano Manor near the summit. Each seed adds a charge to your Flask of Crimson Tears or Flask of Cerulean Tears once you spend it at a Site of Grace.
Quick answer: Grab the first Golden Seed by following the river north from the Seethewater River Site of Grace, then take the second from the golden sapling on the hill directly outside Volcano Manor’s main door.
Both Mt. Gelmir Golden Seed locations
The two saplings sit at opposite ends of the climb. Here is where each one is and the Site of Grace you should travel to first.
| Golden Seed | Nearest Site of Grace | Where it grows |
|---|---|---|
| Seethewater River | Seethewater River | Beside the river path north of the grace, near a small tree |
| Volcano Manor | Volcano Manor | On the hill just outside the manor’s main entrance |

This seed sits along the river that runs through the lower part of Mt. Gelmir, west of the Wyndham Ruins. Watch for the hot geyser traps that erupt from the ground along the way, since they can stagger you and Torrent if you ride straight through them.

Volcano Manor Golden Seed
The second seed is tied to Volcano Manor at the top of the mountain, sitting just outside the building rather than within it. It grows to the northwest of the entrance, on the slope above the main door.

How to use Golden Seeds and confirm the upgrade
Golden Seeds only take effect when you spend them. Rest at any Site of Grace, choose the option to add a charge, and pick either the Flask of Crimson Tears or the Flask of Cerulean Tears. Each additional charge costs one more Golden Seed than the last, so later upgrades require several at once.
You know the upgrade worked when your flask charge count rises by one in the rest menu, and the extra charge is available the next time you draw from your flasks. Collecting both Mt. Gelmir seeds pushes you closer to the flask cap while you clear the region’s bosses and dungeons.
Note: Golden Seeds raise how many times you can drink between rests, while Sacred Tears increase how much each drink restores. The two upgrades stack, so grab both types as you explore the Lands Between.
