The Blocky Update is live now, adding a new Office map and a free blocky body shape, and its window runs through Friday, August 22, 2026. A follow-up update is already on the calendar for Sunday, August 23, with the developer keeping its contents under wraps for now. The Blocky Update went live on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 4:30 PM ET (8:30 PM UTC) and its window closes on Friday, August 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET (7:00 PM UTC). That’s 12:00 PM PT on the US West Coast and 8:00 PM in the UK on the closing day.
The headline addition is a free blocky character you switch to at the new Character Select tube in the lobby, paired with a new Office map full of desks, cubicles and tucked-away corners to blend into. The update also brings a Stamps Shop that lets you press shapes onto your paint jobs, with two stamps rotating through the store, and an Alien Crate holding four new blasters plus a fifth that’s a little more familiar. Rounding it out are new quests, painting fixes and mobile improvements.

The date is set but the details aren’t — the listing carries nothing beyond a note asking players to follow so they don’t miss it. Even so, about 62,000 players have already signed up. What the date does confirm is the cadence: it opens the day after the Blocky Update’s window closes, matching the roughly weekly rhythm the game has kept all month.
Japan Update — ended Saturday, August 15, 2026
The Japan Update, which the developer billed as its biggest update yet, ran from Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 1:30 PM ET (5:30 PM UTC) to Saturday, August 15 at 4:30 PM ET (8:30 PM UTC), handing off directly to the Blocky Update. It added a Japan-themed map, let players vote for both the map and the game mode, and introduced two new modes — Resize, which blows the map up to giant size for extra hiding spots, and Dare Zone, which rewards players for being on their spot when the timer ends. It also brought gifting, an item-merging system for stronger gear, and a 2x coins weekend. Its turnout topped 85,000 sign-ups.

The Dino Update & Sale ran from Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 3:30 PM ET (7:30 PM UTC) to Saturday, August 8 at 11:00 AM ET (3:00 PM UTC). It drew the biggest turnout of the game’s recent run, with roughly 235,000 players signed up. The update added Auras — a glowing effect each unboxed blaster can keep permanently, with seven to collect — alongside a prehistoric Dino map, a Pose Crate of five new poses, an emote inventory to manage them, a rebuilt lobby and a material picker for customizing gear. It also discounted the color picker by 80 percent.
