Restaurant Tycoon 3 Events: Europe Update Countdown and What’s Next

Updated July 30, 2026 By AllThingsHow Staff

Restaurant Tycoon 3’s Summer Templates wrapped Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET, closing out a six-day run that added two new restaurant templates and a batch of gameplay fixes. It drew over 30,000 followers before it ended. With it done, the next event, the Europe Update, opens Friday, July 31.

That keeps Restaurant Tycoon 3 on the weekly rhythm it has held all month: a Friday start, a six-day run, and a one-day gap before the next event begins. Behind the Europe Update, the Starter Restaurant Update is already on the calendar for Friday, August 7. Both are sign-up only for now, with no patch notes attached beyond their names. Last updated July 30.

Current and upcoming events

Europe Update — July 31 to August 6

The Europe Update opens Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET and runs through Thursday, August 6. The developer hasn’t said what it adds yet — it’s on the calendar under its name and dates only. Sign-ups already number about 31,000, roughly level with where Summer Templates finished, which points to steady demand for each new drop rather than a summer fall-off.

Starter Restaurant Update — August 7 to 13

Next in line is the Starter Restaurant Update, opening Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET and closing Thursday, August 13. It’s also unannounced beyond the name and dates. Sign-ups stand at about 4,200, well short of the events ahead of it — expected for something this far out, since it has had less time to gather followers.

Summer Templates — the update that just wrapped

Summer Templates ran Friday, July 24 through Thursday, July 30, 2026, both at 11 a.m. ET. Its headline additions were two restaurant templates, Alora Grove and Summer Terrace, both sold through the in-game Construction Craig character, plus weekly codes that grant a ten-minute cash multiplier to members of the game’s group. Two signature dishes changed as well — the Indian menu swapped Aloo Gobi for Lamb Rogan Josh, and the Japanese menu traded the Dragon Sushi Roll for Temaki Rolls — and the classical ensemble’s violinist animations got a polish pass.

The fixes covered a Top Chef badge that wasn’t unlocking for players with Level 5 chefs, drink orders now favoring dedicated drink counters on other floors, a build-mode bug that reset an object’s color whenever its material was reset, restaurant demolitions now properly stopping any band performance underway, and custom burgers gaining access to the grill. It closed with over 30,000 followers.

Classical Music Update — earlier in July

The Classical Music Update ran Friday, July 17 through Thursday, July 23, 2026. Its headline addition was a classical ensemble for the live music system, booked through the in-game music menu and assignable to any stage in a restaurant — or the outdoor stage for players without one built indoors.

The rest was build-mode work: a dedicated music section in the builder, two new stages — the Neon stage and the Pavilion stage — and a crowd control fence for the decor list. The stage cap rose to ten, or twenty with the item limits gamepass, and group members earned double daily rewards for the week. Fixes shipped alongside it: tycoon music now stays synced for everyone in a restaurant and resumes instead of restarting when a player leaves and returns, the plaza busker runs lighter, drink orders route to a counter on the same floor, and turning on music with the volume at zero now triggers a warning first. It drew nearly 30,000 followers.

The weekly rhythm

The pattern has held across every event this month: a Friday start at 11 a.m. ET, a six-day run, and a single day off before the next begins. That has kept a fresh event live nearly every week — Classical Music, then Summer Templates, and now the Europe Update with the Starter Restaurant Update lined up behind it into the middle of August. Nothing past the Starter Restaurant Update’s August 13 close has been announced yet.
