Restaurant Tycoon 3 Events Schedule: Fun Update End Time & Countdown

Restaurant Tycoon 3’s Fun Update, Pt. 1 is live now — a wave of new build-mode items headlined by trampolines — and it runs through Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET, with under a day left. It has pulled in about 26,000 sign-ups, and the “Pt. 1” in the name points to at least one more installment ahead.
The game itself draws about about 12,000 players at any given moment and has crossed about 350,000,000 lifetime visits with more than about 840,000 favorites, keeping it among Roblox’s long-running tycoon hits. This page covers the event calendar — what’s live, what’s next, and what just wrapped.
Next in line is the Ice Cream Update, opening Friday, August 21, followed by a short birthday admin event on Sunday, August 23. Restaurant Tycoon 3 has held a steady weekly cadence through the summer: a Friday-morning start, a six-day run, and a single day off before the next event begins. Last updated August 20.

Current and upcoming events
Fun Update, Pt. 1 — August 14 to 20
The Fun Update opened Friday, August 14, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET and closes Thursday, August 20 at the same hour. It leans on build-mode additions: trampolines in standard and classic bounce styles, directional conveyors that carry players along, bookshelves — including a hidden one that swings open like a door — a revolving door that spins continuously when used, ringable church and restaurant bells, and new ladder and truss pieces. On the management side, restaurants can now be removed from a franchise. The update also clears several bugs: empty menus no longer earn money from food critics, demolished restaurants stop appearing in the Franchise menu and counting toward its requirements, and starter-restaurant preview images display correctly again. Interest stands at about 26,000.
Ice Cream Update — August 21 to 27
Up next is the Ice Cream Update, opening Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET and running through Thursday, August 27. The developer hasn’t detailed what it adds — it’s on the calendar under its name and dates only, as a sign-up event. Followers already number about 13,000.
RT3 Birthday Admin Event — August 23
Breaking the usual pattern is a short birthday admin event on Sunday, August 23, 2026, running just half an hour from 10:30 to 11 a.m. ET. Admin events are developer-run in-game sessions rather than content drops, and this one marks the game’s birthday. Sign-ups sit at about 3,100, smaller than the week-long updates as you’d expect for a 30-minute window.
Starter Restaurant Update — the update that just wrapped
The Starter Restaurant Update ran Friday, August 7 through Thursday, August 13, 2026, both at 11 a.m. ET. Like the two events after it, it went out under its name and dates without published patch notes. It closed with over 28,000 sign-ups, keeping the recent run of events well clear of any summer drop-off.
Europe Update — earlier in the run
The Europe Update ran Friday, July 31 through Thursday, August 6, 2026. It added eight new European signature dishes, reached through the milestones menu, along with four new badges: Millionaire, Tower of Taste for building a third floor, Rising Reputation for earning ten likes, and Friendship Forever for filling the friendship meter. With nearly 34,000 sign-ups, it was the most-followed event of the recent stretch.
The weekly rhythm
The cadence has held all summer: a Friday start at 11 a.m. ET, a six-day run, and one day off before the next event opens. That line runs Europe Update, then Starter Restaurant Update, then the Fun Update now live, with the Ice Cream Update set to follow. The birthday admin event is the outlier — a brief Sunday session rather than a full six-day drop. Nothing past the Ice Cream Update’s August 27 close has been announced yet.
FAQ

The Ice Cream Update is next, opening Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET — a day after the Fun Update, Pt. 1 closes on August 20. A short birthday admin event follows on Sunday, August 23. Neither has published details yet; both are on the calendar as sign-up events with names and dates only.
What time do Restaurant Tycoon 3 events start?
The weekly updates open at 11 a.m. ET — that’s 8 a.m. PT, 3 p.m. UTC and 4 p.m. BST — and close at the same hour on their final day. The one exception is the birthday admin event, which starts at 10:30 a.m. ET on August 23. Exact dates and times for each are in the schedule above.
How long does each Restaurant Tycoon 3 event last?
The weekly updates each run six days, opening Friday morning and closing the following Thursday at the same time, with the next event beginning a day later. The birthday admin event is a one-off exception, lasting only about half an hour.
What’s in the Fun Update?
New build items lead the way: trampolines, directional conveyors, regular and hidden bookshelves, a continuously spinning revolving door, church and restaurant bells, and ladder and truss pieces. It also lets you remove restaurants from a franchise and fixes several bugs, including empty menus earning money from food critics and demolished restaurants lingering in the Franchise menu.
