Restaurant Tycoon 3 Events: Summer Templates Live and What’s Next

Restaurant Tycoon 3’s Classical Music Update closed out its run Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET, after six days live. Close to 30,000 players had signed up to follow it before it ended, the largest turnout the game has drawn to a single event so far. Summer Templates opened the very next day, so the game hasn’t gone without a live event for long.
Summer Templates went live today, Friday, July 24, at 11 a.m. ET, with the Europe Update queued behind it starting the following Friday, July 31. The developer has posted full patch notes for Summer Templates — two new restaurant templates and a set of gameplay tweaks — while the Europe Update stays sign-up only for now. Last updated July 24, 2026.

Summer Templates — live now through July 30
Summer Templates opened Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET and runs through Thursday, July 30. The developer has now posted what it adds: two new restaurant templates, Alora Grove and Summer Terrace, sold through the in-game Construction Craig character; weekly codes for a ten-minute cash multiplier for players who join the game’s group; and swapped signature dishes on the Indian and Japanese menus, trading Aloo Gobi for Lamb Rogan Josh and the Dragon Sushi Roll for Temaki Rolls. The classical ensemble’s violinist animations also got a polish pass, alongside a handful of fixes — a Top Chef badge bug for Level 5 chefs, drink orders now prioritizing counters on other floors, a build-mode material and color reset bug, restaurant demolitions now properly ending any band performance in progress, and custom burgers gaining access to the grill. Over 30,000 players have signed up so far, ahead of where the update stood before it even went live.
Europe Update — July 31 to August 6
The Europe Update follows on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET and closes Thursday, August 6. It’s also unannounced beyond the name and dates. Interest is already past 14,000 sign-ups — Summer Templates has simply had more time on the calendar to accumulate followers.
Classical Music Update — the one that just wrapped
The Classical Music Update ran from Friday, July 17 through Thursday, July 23, 2026, both at 11 a.m. ET. Its headline addition was a classical ensemble for the live music system, booked through the in-game music menu and assignable to any stage in a restaurant, including the outdoor stage for players without one built indoors.
The rest of the update was build-mode work: a dedicated music section in the builder, two new stages in the Neon stage and the Pavilion stage, and a crowd control fence added to the decor list. The stage cap rose to ten, or twenty for players with the item limits gamepass, and group members earned double daily rewards for the week. A handful of fixes shipped alongside it too — tycoon music now stays in sync for everyone in a restaurant and resumes rather than restarting when a player leaves and returns, the plaza busker runs lighter, drink orders route to a counter on the same floor instead of jumping elsewhere in the building, and switching on music with the volume at zero now throws a warning first. Close to 30,000 players followed it, the biggest turnout of any event so far.
The weekly rhythm
The pattern holds across all three events: a Friday start at 11 a.m. ET, a six-day run, and a one-day gap before the next one begins. That puts a new event live every week through at least the first week of August. If the cadence continues, the event after the Europe Update would be expected around Friday, August 7, though nothing past August 6 has been announced.
