Manchester United arrive in FC 27 with one of the stronger Premier League squads on paper, and the ratings reflect a season that ended with a third-place finish under Carrick after a poor opening half. Several players have moved up compared with last year’s game, and the squad now carries 13 cards rated 80 or higher.

Quick answer: Bruno Fernandes is United’s highest-rated player at 89 overall, followed by Youri Tielemans at 85, then Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha level at 84.

Manchester United’s top-rated cards in FC 27

Fernandes remains the standout at 89, and the gap between him and the rest of the squad is wide. Tielemans, one of the new arrivals, slots straight in as the second-best card at 85. Behind them, the wide attacking pair of Mbeumo and Cunha share 84, giving the front line two genuinely usable options in Career Mode and Ultimate Team from day one.

The 82 band is crowded. Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire all land there at centre-back, with Marcus Rashford, Benjamin Sesko and goalkeeper Senne Lammens matching them. That gives United a deep spine rather than a collection of isolated stars.

How the ratings break down by position

Goalkeeper is settled at the top. Lammens is clearly first choice at 82, with Karl Darlow at 76 and Altay Bayindir and Radek Vitek both on 75 as cover. Tom Heaton, the oldest player in the squad, sits at 67.

Central defence is the deepest area on the sheet. Martinez, De Ligt and Maguire are all 82, Leny Yoro follows at 78, and Ayden Heaven is at 75. At full-back, Noussair Mazraoui leads on 80 ahead of Diogo Dalot at 78, while Luke Shaw is the best left-back at 79 with Patrick Dorgu covering that flank as a 78-rated left midfielder.

Midfield runs from Fernandes and Tielemans down through Kobbie Mainoo at 81 and Andrey Santos at 80, with Mason Mount on 78 and Manuel Ugarte on 77. Up front, Sesko at 82 is the highest-rated striker, ahead of Joshua Zirkzee at 77, and Amad gives the right side a 79-rated alternative to Mbeumo.

Note: the academy names at the bottom of the list, including Mamadou Diallo, Ethan Wheatley, Daniel Gore and Diego Leon, sit in the 63 to 65 range. They are useful as long-term Career Mode projects rather than immediate squad options.

What can still change before launch

EA has not published the complete official reveal for every player at United yet. Fernandes and Tielemans are among the confirmed men’s cards so far, while the rest of the squad is still working through the reveal process. Overalls that appear before that point can shift, sometimes by a point or two, once the final database is locked.

The transfer window is also still open, so the roster itself may not be final. Incoming or outgoing moves before the game arrives in late September can add cards to this list, remove others, or change squad numbers and positions. No exact release date has been confirmed beyond that September window.

If you are planning a Career Mode save or an early Ultimate Team squad around United, build around the 82-and-above block. Those cards are the least likely to move far, and they cover goalkeeper, centre-back, midfield and attack, which is enough of a spine to survive whatever adjustments land before launch.
