Modern Warfare 4 Beta: How to Get Every Reward by Level 30

The eight unlock levels, both beta weekends, and how the items carry into the full game on Oct. 23.

The eight unlock levels, both beta weekends, and how the items carry into the full game on Oct. 23.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta hands out eight free cosmetic items, and every one of them is tied to a single progression track. You do not need to play a specific mode, win a set number of matches, or complete challenges. You only need levels.

Quick answer: Hit level 30 in the beta during either weekend — Aug. 21 to 25 or Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 — and all eight rewards are yours, waiting in the full game when MW4 launches on Oct. 23.

All MW4 beta rewards and their unlock levels

Rewards drop at fixed level milestones, starting early and spacing out as you climb. The final three come close together, so the grind from level 20 to 30 is where most of the value sits. An Operator skin and a weapon blueprint anchor the set.

Note: reaching level 30 in either weekend earns the full set. You do not have to play both.

Beta weekend dates and who can play

The beta runs across two windows. The first is early access, gated behind a pre-order or a beta code. The second is open to everyone, with no purchase attached.

WeekendDatesAccess
Weekend oneAug. 21 – Aug. 25Pre-order or beta code
Weekend twoAug. 28 – Sept. 1Free download for everyone

Weekend two is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. If you miss the first window entirely, the second one still gives you a clean shot at all eight rewards.

Which modes count toward beta levels

This is the widest Call of Duty beta yet in terms of content on offer. Alongside standard multiplayer, there is a playable mission from the singleplayer campaign and a slice of Warzone‘s new Resurgence map, Zodiac.

Progression is shared across what you play, so the reward track moves forward regardless of which mode you pick. Play whatever you find fastest or most enjoyable — the levels are the only thing being measured.

Getting into weekend one without a pre-order

A digital pre-order is the only guaranteed route into early access, and it usually grants entitlement automatically without a separate code. Physical pre-orders often ship the code on the retailer receipt, so keep it.

Free codes have circulated through official channels, including Call of Duty League and Call of Duty Endowment broadcasts, event attendance, and partner reward programs such as Xfinity. No further code giveaway has been confirmed at this point. Codes are never worth buying from resellers.

If a broadcast giveaway does run, drops require your Activision account to be connected to the streaming platform in advance. You can connect your Twitch account to Call of Duty from your profile page, and YouTube linking is handled through the account sharing settings on YouTube itself.

How to redeem a Modern Warfare 4 beta code

Sign in to the Activision account you actually play on. Redemption is tied to that account, not to your console profile alone.
Open the official Call of Duty beta redemption page and enter the code exactly as it was issued. Character errors are the most common reason a valid code gets rejected.
Select the platform you plan to play on and confirm your account region matches. Picking the wrong platform can leave you with an entitlement you cannot use.
Check your email for a confirmation message. Some beta cycles use two stages, where a promo code registers your access first and a separate platform code arrives later for the download itself.

How to confirm your rewards actually unlocked

Each item is granted the moment you cross its level threshold in the beta, so the reward track itself is your confirmation. If you finish a session at level 21, the emblem, charm, sticker, calling card, and Operator skin are already secured; the spray, loading screen, and blueprint are not.

The items themselves are for use in the full release. They will not appear in your permanent inventory until MW4 launches on Oct. 23, so there is nothing to claim manually after the beta ends.

Common reasons the rewards do not arrive

  • You stopped short of a milestone level. Rewards are granted at exact levels, not for partial progress toward them.
  • You played on an account other than the one attached to your purchase or code, splitting your progress.
  • You redeemed a code but cannot download yet. Preload typically becomes available closer to the beta start, so this is normal rather than a failure.
  • Your redemption region does not match your account region.

Thirty levels across a four or five day window is a modest ask, but it is not free. If early access is out of reach, the second weekend costs nothing and carries the same reward track — that is the safest plan for anyone who only wants the blueprint and the Operator skin ready on launch day.
