The Megamouth Shark and Humpback Whale Migration are two random ocean events in Roblox Fisch that drop some of the rarest catches in the game. Both spawn naturally on the server, cannot be forced with Totems or codes, and share Krill as the recommended bait. The differences come down to time of day, location, and how you approach each creature.
Event conditions side by side
Both events trigger randomly and announce themselves in the global Event spawn chat box. Watch that feed instead of grinding in place. Once an event fires, head to the listed coordinates immediately, as the creatures will not stay forever.

Humpback Whale Migration
The Humpback Whale Migration is the more frequent of the two events. When it spawns, the whale tends to appear around the Lost Jungle POI before drifting across the ocean in curved, unpredictable paths. Its fishing pool has a wide radius, and the whale emits an audible melody that carries across the water, making it easier to pinpoint than the Megamouth.
Turn on Fish Radar as soon as you arrive and listen for the song. The whale will keep moving while you fish it, so steer the boat to track its position and stay close, as proximity raises the breaching value and improves your odds of landing the catch.
Rod choice: Anything with strong control or resilience works. The Serraphic with the Blessed enchantment is a solid pick. No Life, Elemental, and Rod of Glorp are all viable alternatives given the heavy -88% progress speed penalty.
Megamouth Shark Event
The Megamouth Shark is the elusive one. It appears at night in the ocean, drifting slowly along the surface as it follows plankton. The spawn point is the Tidefall Portal, where it lingers near the parked boats at the entrance before retreating back to the depths if disturbed.

Approach behavior matters here more than rod stats. Bringing the boat in too aggressively will scare the shark off, and if you keep pressuring it, the event ends and the Megamouth disappears. Drift in slowly, anchor at the edge of its radius, and cast from as far away as the pool allows.
Rod choice: The Ethereal Prism Rod, Rod of Zenith, No Life, or Elemental all handle the fight well. The hunt itself is fairly straightforward once you are casting — the real difficulty is not spooking the shark before you hook it.
Why Krill works for both
Krill is the common denominator because it matches the real feeding behavior the event is modeled on — both creatures are filter feeders that target plankton-class prey. In Fisch terms, Krill raises spawn chance for the Megamouth event and is one of the two accepted baits for the Humpback. If you are farming both events in a single session, Krill is the bait to keep loaded.
Confirming a successful catch
You will know the catch landed when the creature is added to your bestiary and the event ends from your side. Extremely rare catches at 1/100,000 odds or greater also place a Global Catch Flag visible to every player on the server, while rare catches of 1/1,000 or rarer drop a personal Catch Flag at the location with the exact odds displayed.
If either event ends without a catch, the most common reasons are the Megamouth being scared off by aggressive boating, the Humpback drifting outside the fishing radius before you matched its path, or the in-game time/season rolling past the required window. Neither creature can be respawned manually, so wait for the next global event announcement and try again.
