Sinister Strip in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 hides a locked prison cell in the basement of one of its buildings, and the door won’t budge if you walk straight up to it. The trick is that the lock runs on power, and that power comes from two security grids buried in the sewers nearby. Shut both down and the cell opens, giving you a fast loot run that most players in your lobby will skip right past.
Quick answer: Go to the prison building in the north of Sinister Strip (across from the giant Sprite hologram), head down the stairs to the cell, follow the left red wire to deactivate the North Prison Security Grid and the right red wire to deactivate the South Prison Security Grid, then open the cell.

Where to find the locked prison cell in Sinister Strip
The prison sits in the northern part of Sinister Strip, in the building directly opposite the enormous Sprite structure in the middle of the point of interest. Step inside and take the stairs leading down from the first floor.
At the bottom you’ll reach a locked door with electricity arcing across the bars. Walking into it knocks you back, which is the game telling you the lock is still powered. You can’t force it open, so don’t waste time trying.

Two thick red wires run out from the locked door, one on the left wall and one on the right. Each leads to a separate security grid in the sewers. You need to turn off both before the door will respond.
Deactivate the North Prison Security Grid

Deactivate the South Prison Security Grid
With both grids offline, head back to the cell. The electricity will be gone, and the door will open. You’ll also earn the “Path of Least Resistance” accolade, which awards 1,000 XP and confirms the unlock worked.

All rewards inside the prison cell
Opening the cell reveals a stash of loot waiting inside. The chests are the real draw here, since they carry the rare drops worth the detour.
| Reward | Details |
|---|---|
| 2x Rare Chests | The main prize; can drop the Limitless Seven Sliders and the Epic Vault Key |
| 2x Regular Chests | Standard loot |
| 1x Sprite | A random Sprite |
The Rare Chests have an increased chance to spawn the Limitless Seven Sliders, a Mythic mobility item with no capacity limit. It lets you slide indefinitely with infinite durability, which is great for repositioning, escaping the storm, or slowing yourself down to line up a shot. The Mythic rarity isn’t guaranteed, so you may pull a lower-rarity variant even after doing the full unlock.
The same Rare Chests can also drop the Epic Vault Key. That key opens Dark Voyager’s Vault inside Sinister Strip, one of eight vaults scattered across the island, each holding extra loot.

Watch the surroundings before you start
Sinister Strip is a busy spot, and plenty of players drop here every match. John Wick’s dog is nearby too, which pulls even more people into the area. The puzzle itself is simple, so the real risk is getting caught running through the sewers while opponents are still around. Grab a weapon first, and only commit to flipping both grids once the coast looks clear.
