Google Docs is a web-based word processor, which can be accessed from both, computers and mobile across the globe. You can sign in with your Google account and access all the programs in Google Docs Editor Suite.
Many a time, you may have to add a page and move the contents to the next page. There are two ways to add a page in a document, either from the ‘Insert’ menu or using the keyboard shortcut. Moreover, you can add pages to Google Docs both on the mobile and web versions.
We will see how to add a page in Google Docs both on the mobile and web version.
Adding Page in Google Docs Web App for Desktop
Place the cursor in the document where you want to add a page break and then click on the ‘Insert’ menu at the top.
Move the cursor to ‘Break’ in the drop-down menu and then select ‘Page break’ from the list of options that pop-up. Alternatively, you can press CTRL + ENTER
to add a page break.
Since the cursor was placed at the end of the first paragraph, the text after it has been moved to the next page.
Adding Page in Google Docs Mobile App
Launch Google Docs app on your mobile device, then open the document in which you want to add a page break and click on the ‘Edit’ icon at the bottom.
Now, place the cursor where you want to add a page break. Then, tap on the ‘+’ icon at the top-right.
Next, click on ‘Page break’ from the list of options that pop-up at the bottom.
The ‘Page Break’ will be added right next to where the text cursor was placed.
Adding a page break to a document enhances clarity. Plus, starting a new topic from the next page ensures users are engaged and involved.
