Collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams have made working from home a smooth experience, but there are always challenges. One such challenge is faced during video calls. Continuous disturbances in the background can make it hard to concentrate on the matters at hand, for you and others on the call. Microsoft Teams has a wonderful feature that will save you from such embarrassments.
Microsoft Teams lets you blur the background in real-time video calls. And it is a pretty straightforward feature.
When you’re in a video call in Microsoft Teams, click on the ‘More’ option (three dots) on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, and select ‘Blur my background’ option.
Blurring the background works fast and it tracks your movements pretty well. And you can just easily turn it off at any time.
When you’re working from home, ‘Blur background’ option in Microsoft Teams is a lifesaver for work in online meetings and calls with work colleagues.
Microsoft is also working on a customized backgrounds feature for meetings in Microsoft Teams. This new feature will let users set custom images like wallpapers as their background while in a video call. Check it out in action in the image below.
