Roblox is a hugely popular platform for playing and creating online games. It is available on multiple devices and is rather popular among Windows users. Now, like any software, it stores cache files to help load the games faster. But over time, when the cache accumulates, it can cause issues with the game, such as slower load times, app crashes, lagging, etc. Clearing the Roblox cache on your Windows 11 PC can help with these issues.

Clear the Roblox Desktop App Cache

There's no option to clear the cache in the Roblox desktop app. Here's how you can do it instead.

  1. Open the Run window (Windows + R) on your PC.
  2. Then, type %temp% and press the Enter key.
  1. Press Ctrl + A and delete all the files in this folder; either click the 'Delete' icon or press the Delete button from the keyboard.
  1. You might need to provide administrator permission to delete some files or folders. Click 'Continue' to proceed.
  1. Then, open the Run window again, type %localappdata% and press Enter.
  1. Search for the 'Roblox' folder and open it.
  2. Find the 'Versions' folder and open it.
  3. Then, open the 'Cache' and 'Logs' folders one by one. Select everything inside using the Ctrl + A and delete it. Don't delete the 'Roblox' folder itself.
  4. Then, go to the Recycle Bin and empty it to delete the cache files permanently from your PC.
  5. Now, restart your computer, and the cache for the Roblox desktop app will be cleared.

Clear the Browser Cache

If you're playing Roblox online, you'll need to clear the cache for your web browser, as the browser stores cache files, too, whenever you visit a website. If you're having issues with Roblox in the browser, clearing the cache will help.

Clear Cache in the Chrome Browser

If you're a Chrome user, here's how you can clear the cache for it.

  1. Open Google Chrome on your PC.
  2. Click the 'three-dot' menu icon in the top-right of the browser.
  1. Go to 'Settings' from the menu.
  1. Next, go to 'Privacy and security' from the navigation menu on the left and click the 'Clear browsing data' option from the right pane.
  1. Then, select only the 'Cached images and files' option from the dialog box and click on 'Clear data'.

Clear Cache in the Edge Browser

Clearing the cache for the Edge browser is more or less the same as Chrome.

  1. Open Microsoft Edge on your PC.
  2. Click the 'Settings and more' (three dots) button from the top-right.
  3. Go to 'Settings' from the menu.
  1. From the left menu, go to 'Privacy and security'.
  1. Scroll down in the right pane and click the 'Choose what to clear' button from the Clear browsing data tile.
  1. Select the 'Cached images and files' option only and click on 'Clear now'.

Similarly, you can clear the cache if you use any other browser to access Roblox.

That's all there is. Clearing Roblox cache occasionally is a good practice for smooth performance, whether you're using the desktop app or the web app in the browser. You don't need to clear it every day, but perhaps once a month or if you start noticing performance issues. And with this guide, you can do it easily.
