The Instagram iPhone app doesn’t have a direct option to permanently delete an Instagram account, but you can use Safari or Chrome on your iPhone to easily delete your Instagram account.
⚠ Warning
If you delete your Instagram account, all your photos, comments, likes, friendships and all other data will be permanently removed and will not be recoverable. Also, you won’t be able to create a new account with same username again.
- Open Safari on your iPhone
Open the Safari app on your iPhone to access the Instagram delete account webpage.
- Go to instagram.com/accounts/remove/request/permanent/
Either click on the link above 👆 or type it into the address bar in Safari. And then login to Instagram using the account that you wish to permanently delete.
- Select reason to delete Instagram account
Tap the dropdown menu below “Why are you deleting your account?” heading and select your reason from the available options. Tap Done when you have selected an option.
- Enter your Instagram password
To confirm, enter your Instagram account password in the field where it says “To continue, please re-enter your password”.
- Hit the “Permanently delete my account” button
Tap on the “Permanently delete my account” button at the bottom of the page to delete your Instagram account forever.
That’s it. If you enetered the password correctly, your Instagram account will be permanently deleted after you hit button.
