Legion Bombardment Warlock Leveling Build for Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred

The Legion Bombardment Warlock leans into a simple identity: keep Wrath topped off through passive generation, then dump it into Bombardment until the screen empties. It is built as a Season 13 starter for the Lord of Hatred expansion, with enough room to scale into Torment 12 once the supporting uniques and aspects come online.

Quick answer: Stack passive Wrath gain through Lunatics, spam Bombardment as your machine-gun core skill, use Wretch to taunt, Rampage to reposition, and drop Sigil of Summoning as a heavy-hitting cooldown nuke.

Core build identity

The setup is a summoner-flavored caster that uses Bombardment as its primary damage output. Lesser demons spawn off your Bombardment casts, and the AE'Grom synergy combined with the Circle of Summoning lets you flood encounters with bodies while you keep firing. Wretch acts as a forced taunt to peel elites off you, and Rampage covers mobility. Sigil of Summoning is reserved for burst windows on tough packs and bosses.

The playstyle stays consistent from leveling into endgame: generate Wrath passively, hold the Bombardment button, reposition with Rampage, and time the Sigil for big damage spikes.

Skill priorities and rotation

Wrath generation is handled by the Lunatics passive line, which means you don't need to weave a basic skill in just to refuel. That frees the action bar for damage, control, and movement.

🎯
Tip: Cast Wretch first on dense packs so taunted enemies clump into Bombardment's area before you commit Wrath.

Step 1: Open with Wretch to pull aggro and group enemies. This buys positioning time and stops elites from chasing you mid-cast.

Step 2: Drop Sigil of Summoning on elite packs or bosses. Treat it as your nuke window since the cooldown is long compared to your spammable core.

Step 3: Hold Bombardment and channel through the pack. Lunatics keeps Wrath flowing, so the cast loop rarely breaks.

Step 4: Use Rampage to reposition out of ground effects or to chase fleeing enemies. Avoid burning it purely for travel speed when a fight is active.

Gear and aspect priority

The build runs on a specific set of uniques and aspects that unlock its scaling. Several slots intentionally stay open early so you can slot generic damage and defense aspects until the targeted items drop.

SlotItemPriority
HelmAspect of Fiendish Oppression5
ChestAe'grom's Schism3
GlovesOpen
PantsTibault's Will4
BootsOpen
AmuletSeed of Horazon1
Ring 1The Fecund Seal2
Ring 2Open
WeaponOpen
OffhandOpen

Seed of Horazon on the amulet is the highest-priority pickup because amulet stats roll at 50 percent stronger values, which amplifies whatever the unique offers. The Fecund Seal follows as the second slot to lock in. Tibault's Will on the pants and Ae'grom's Schism on the chest fill in the next major power spikes, with the helm aspect rounding out the mandatory slots.

Why the open slots stay open

Gloves, boots, weapon, offhand, and the second ring are flexible on purpose. Until you find well-rolled targeted pieces, fill those slots with whatever rare or legendary gear gives you the most armor, resistances, and life. Generic aspects like attack-speed or damage-reduction options work fine as placeholders without distorting the rotation.

Pushing into Torment 12

The transition from leveling to Torment relies on three things: getting Seed of Horazon equipped, completing the Ae'grom interaction with the chest, and stacking enough Wrath generation that Bombardment never stalls. Once those three are in place, the build's clear speed jumps sharply, and Sigil of Summoning starts deleting elite packs in a single use.

Defensive layering matters more at higher Torment tiers. Wretch's taunt becomes a survival tool, not just a setup, because it forces dangerous mobs to attack a target you control rather than chasing you through your own Bombardment area.

⚠️
Note: The build entry currently has no AE'Grom skill node available in the planner, so expect minor skill-tree adjustments once that interaction is finalized in-game.

Verifying the build is working

You'll know the rotation is functioning correctly when Wrath stays near full during sustained Bombardment casts without needing to weave in a basic attack. Lesser demons should be visible on screen during pack fights, confirming the Bombardment summon interaction is active. Sigil of Summoning, when placed on a boss, should produce a clear damage spike rather than a slow ramp.

If Wrath drains faster than Lunatics replenishes it, check that the passive points are fully invested and that you aren't over-casting Rampage, which can interrupt the generation cycle. If lesser demons aren't appearing, confirm Bombardment's upgrade nodes are taken in the order the build expects rather than defaulting to a generic damage path.
