The Exciting Beach is the themed home that lets Feebas settle into your Pokopia island. Unlike most habitats, its parts do not come from regional crafting. They are tied to the Fetching Scales for Feebas event, so you gather the furniture with a special currency before you can place it.

Quick answer: Build the Exciting Beach by placing one Sand Bed and one Big Swim Ring. Both are bought with Prism Scales at any built Pokémon Center during the Fetching Scales for Feebas event, which runs through August 28, 2026.

Exciting Beach Habitat requirements

You only need two pieces of furniture, and both are event rewards. Each one costs Prism Scales at the Pokémon Center counter, so budget 20 Prism Scales total for a single Exciting Beach.

The Exciting Beach can be placed in any area, at any time of day, in any weather, and it counts as a Common habitat. If you also want spare furniture for decorating, buy extra copies while the event is live, since prices stay the same per purchase.

Where the Sand Bed and Big Swim Ring come from

Both items are unlocked by spending Prism Scales, the event currency for Fetching Scales for Feebas. You need a Pokémon Center rebuilt in any region other than Bubbly Basin to take part, and the event is open to every player, not just owners of the Bubbly Basin expansion.

Log in during the event window and watch for the “A Pokémon is the talk of the town!” message. Feebas then appears standing outside a fully built Pokémon Center, ready to trade with you.
Travel to Dream Islands using any Doll you place and interact with to call Drifloon. Prism Scales are the flat, pink-and-blue shell items scattered on the ground, and they turn up on beaches and sandy spots. Collect at least 20 for the Exciting Beach.
Return to any built Pokémon Center and hand your Prism Scales to Feebas at the rewards counter. Trade 10 for the Sand Bed and 10 for the Big Swim Ring.

Tip: The Big Swim Ring and the smaller Swim Ring are separate items with separate costs. The Exciting Beach needs the Big Swim Ring, so double-check the name before you spend.

Placing the habitat and moving Feebas in

Once you own the Sand Bed and Big Swim Ring, open your building menu and set both pieces down together to form the Exciting Beach. The habitat is complete the moment both items are placed as a set.

Building Habitat for Feebas in Pokopia

Feebas will not live at the habitat while the event is running, because it is busy staffing the rewards counter at the Pokémon Center. After the event ends, Feebas moves outside one of the rebuilt Pokémon Centers instead. It can pick any of them, so check each center until you spot it.

When you find Feebas, talk to it, ask it to follow you, and lead it to the Exciting Beach you built. You know it worked when Feebas settles into the habitat as a permanent resident. Note that simply interacting with Feebas during the event is enough to add it to your roster later, and the Exciting Beach can still be built after the event as long as you kept the furniture.

Feebas specialty, likes, and ideal home

Feebas is a Water Pokémon, so its specialty lets it spray water across nearby fields and plants. That makes it a handy helper for watering crops you have planted and want to grow.

Can Feebas go underwater?

Yes. Feebas can explore underwater regions, so you can set its home in Bubbly Basin instead of the surface if you prefer, or invite it along whenever you need help below the waves.

The same event also introduces Feebas’s evolution, Milotic, through a second habitat called Marine Leisure Activities, which needs a Swim Ring, a Cooler, and a Beach Volleyball Set. If you want both Water-types, gather enough Prism Scales for the two habitats before the Fetching Scales for Feebas event closes on August 28, 2026.
