Snock is a new Electric-type Pal set to debut in Palworld’s Version 1.0 update, first shown off in a comic strip posted to the game’s official Twitter. Much of its data is still under wraps until the update goes live, but the type, the way you’ll catch it, and the best counters are already clear enough to plan around.
Quick answer: Snock arrives with Version 1.0. Once it’s live, you can catch it as a wild spawn, hatch it from an Electric Egg, or breed it — and bring a Ground-type Pal to the fight, since Snock is Electric.
Snock type and overview in Palworld
Snock is confirmed as an Electric-type Pal. Its Paldeck number, work suitability, base stats, and item drops haven’t been detailed yet and will be filled in when Version 1.0 launches.
| Detail | Snock |
|---|---|
| Pal | ![]() Snock |
| Entry Number | TBA |
| Element Type | Electric |
| Work Suitability | TBA |
| HP / ATK / DEF | TBA |
| Drops | TBA |
Snock isn’t the only Electric-type joining in this update. Puffolt is another new Electric Pal arriving alongside it, so if you’re building an Electric roster, both are worth tracking.
How to get Snock once Version 1.0 launches
There are three ways to add Snock to your team after the update drops. You can encounter it as a wild spawn out in the world, hatch it from an Electric Egg, or produce one through breeding. It does not look like a Raid Boss or dungeon boss, though that hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Snock can likely be found during both day and night rather than being locked to one time window. Exact spawn zones and a map will only be confirmed once the update is live, so treat wild-hunting as the plan to lock in on launch day.
How to beat Snock: type matchups
Because Snock is Electric, Ground-type Pals are your safest pick. Ground shrugs off Electric damage and hits back hard, so lead with one of those to keep the fight short and lower Snock’s health before you throw a sphere.
| Matchup | Pals to use |
|---|---|
| Strong against Snock (Ground) | Gumoss, Warsect, Gildane |
| Weak against Snock (Water) | Solmora, Jormuntide, Neptilius |
Keep Water-type Pals on the bench for this one. They’re at a disadvantage against Electric and will take extra punishment. Detailed Pal Sphere recommendations and combat tips will follow once Version 1.0 is out.
Snock breeding combinations
The strongest breeding pairs for Snock can’t be locked in until the update ships and the Pal enters the roster. The one certain path is same-species breeding: pairing two Snock in a Breeding Farm produces another Snock egg. Beyond that, expect specific parent combos to be sorted out shortly after launch.
| Parent 1 | Parent 2 | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Snock | Snock | Snock |
If you want to prep now, remember how Palworld breeding works. Every Pal has a hidden power value, the game averages both parents, and it picks the eligible species closest to that number. You can’t breed anything rarer than your strongest parent, so once Snock’s power value is known, you’ll be able to reverse-engineer the cheapest pairing that lands on it.
Can Snock be ridden?
Based on its design, Snock does not appear to be a rideable Pal. Its skills, partner skill, and any Pal Gear are still to be revealed, and those details will be confirmed after the update goes live.
Snock lands with Version 1.0 on July 10th, so the safest move right now is to keep a Ground-type Pal geared up and ready to hunt on day one. Spawn maps, stats, drops, and the best breeding combos will slot in as soon as the update is playable.
