Apple announced its debut in the AI world with Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024. Apple Intelligence will bring new capabilities to Apple devices, allowing users to accomplish a greater variety of tasks more easily and delivering a more enjoyable user experience. It will function across the entire OS, bringing you the information you need quickly and helping you get things done quickly, all the while using your personal context for greater relevance without sacrificing privacy.

Apple finally gets onboard generative AI with Apple Intelligence
Apple has finally boarded the AI train as per expectations.

With Apple Intelligence, supported Apple devices will become smarter and more powerful, elevating the user experience to a new level. However, the biggest question that's on everyone's minds right now is, which devices will support this new technology? AI-powered features require powerful hardware, so as with other companies, we expect the latest offerings from Apple to get a taste of Apple Intelligence first.

However, thankfully, the company is not restricting its generative AI to just its latest devices, except for iPhones, that is. To use AI on iPhone, you'll need the crème de la crème (you'll see what we mean). So, if you're wondering whether your iPhone, iPad, or Mac will be getting Apple Intelligence, this is just the guide you need.

When will Apple Intelligence become available? All of the above devices will get Apple Intelligence beta when it becomes available this fall. It will initially only be available in US English and will be integrated with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and MacOS 15 Sequoia. Also, some features will not be available at launch but will arrive later in the year.

Apple Intelligence is promised to revolutionize the way in which users will use their Apple devices. It will bring enhanced functionality to devices, allowing users to interact with them easily and more conveniently. While not all of Apple's devices will be getting the new generative AI as it requires immense processing power, we hope the company will expand its list beyond the A17 Pro and M-family of Apple silicon chips, at least for some features.
