Kitayama Big Daisugi is a cluster of towering Japanese cedars tucked into a dense forest in the Ito region of Forza Horizon 6. It sits in the upper-center part of the map on the eastern side of Japan, and it doubles as a Discover Japan photo spot and the gateway to one of the game's rarest barn finds. The trees are easy to recognize once you reach them, with very tall, straight trunks growing from shared bases and cut stumps scattered around the area.

Kitayama Big Daisugi map location in Forza Horizon 6
The landmark is in the northern stretch of the Ito region, just north of the wind farm Cross Country area. The only way in is a dirt path, so a vehicle that handles off-road terrain makes the approach much easier. Look for tree icons on your map; they mark the trail that leads straight to the cedar cluster.
If you have already explored part of Ito, fast travel should be available near the site. The relevant activities that open up that access are the wind farm Cross Country, and the Kita Ine street race. Completing or discovering those puts you close enough to reach the forest quickly.
How to reach the cedar cluster
Step 1: Open the map, zoom into the Ito region, and set Ito Airfield as your starting point. Fast travel there if you have unlocked it.

Step 2: Head northeast from the airfield toward the forested area. You are looking for an off-road dirt trail that runs east-to-west and is flagged with tree icons.
Step 3: Follow that trail into the dense forest. The massive cedars come into view as you drive, and the landmark sits just off the path. Park your car near the trees so you can line up the shot.

How to take the Kitayama Big Daisugi photo
With your car stopped near the cedars, open photo mode. On the controller, the default is the up direction on the D-pad, and on the keyboard, the default is the P key.
Frame the towering trees in the background, then capture the shot. Use RB on Xbox or R1 on PlayStation, or press Enter on keyboard. The photo is added to your Collection Journal and awards 100 Discover Japan points.
You know it worked when the image saves to your collection and the point total updates. Completing these landmark photos across Japan feeds your Discover Japan progression, which unlocks rewards as you climb the stamp tiers.

The barn find hidden south of the trees
Directly south of the Kitayama Big Daisugi label, a small gravel path branches away from the main trail. Follow it to reach a barn that holds the 1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette. This is the catch worth planning for, because the car will not appear unless your Discover Japan progress is high enough to trigger the barn rumor.
This particular barn find is locked behind the top Discover Japan stamp tier. You need to reach Master Explorer before the rumor spawns and the car physically appears in the barn.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Barn find car | 1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette |
| Region | Ito |
| Required Discover Japan tier | Master Explorer |
| Access route | Gravel path south of the cedar cluster |
The Discover Japan stamp ranks run from Visitor up through Master Explorer. You speed up that climb by playing the story, running races, and clearing side activities. Once the rumor triggers and you discover the barn, you can restore the car for free by waiting or spend credits to restore it immediately.

Why this barn find takes patience
If you head to the gravel path early and find no car, the reason is almost always the same. You have not yet reached the Master Explorer stamp tier, so the rumor has not spawned. Keep progressing Discover Japan, then return to the barn once you hit that rank.
An off-road or SUV-style car is the practical choice for the whole trip, since both the cedar trail and the gravel path to the barn are unpaved. Even without the barn in mind, the run through the forest is one of the more scenic drives in the Ito region, which makes it an easy stop while you chip away at your Discover Japan collection.
