100 Days at Sea Armor: Every Chest and Leg Set and How to Get Them

Every chest and leg piece, the exact damage cuts and bonuses they give, and which chests or classes drop them.

Armor is the main way to survive longer fights in 100 Days at Sea. Every piece cuts the damage you take, and several sets add extra perks like more max HP, higher melee damage, or a Doubloon boost. You wear two pieces at once, so the goal is simple. Fill both slots with the best gear you can find before you push bosses, night raids, or far islands.

Quick answer: Equip one Chest piece and one Leg piece at the same time. Most sets drop from Chests, and Container Chests inside the Container Shelter, Makeshift Building, and Outpost on Oil Rigs or Pirate Stronghold islands have the best odds of dropping Armor. A few pieces come only from picking a class.

How the two Armor slots work

There are two Armor types, Chest and Leg. You can wear one of each, and when a set gives you both pieces, their effects stack. That means a matching Chest and Leg from the same set doubles the listed bonus while both are worn.

  • Equipping a new piece automatically drops whatever you are currently wearing in that slot.
  • You cannot remove Armor into empty. The only way to take a piece off is to replace it with another one.
  • Some classes, such as Alien Warrior and Knight, start you with their own Armor.
  • Wearing anything is better than an empty slot, since every piece gives a defensive bonus.

All Chest Armor, effects, and how to obtain

Chest pieces sit over your body. Most reduce incoming damage, and a few also raise max HP or melee damage. The Knight and Military pieces are locked behind their classes, so you cannot pull them from Chests.

Knight Armor gives the strongest single-piece defense at -30% Damage Taken, which is why the Knight class is a solid pick if you want damage reduction before harder fights. Military Armor’s exact numbers are not yet listed, but it unlocks once your Soldier class reaches Level 2.

All Leg Armor, effects, and how to obtain

Leg pieces go on your legs and mainly raise your damage tolerance, with the Alien set also adding max HP. Every Leg piece except the Alien one comes straight from Chests.

Where to farm Armor drops

Most Armor comes out of Chests, but not all Chests are equal for gear. Container Chests raise your odds of an Armor piece, and they appear inside built-up structures.

  • Container Shelter
  • Makeshift Building
  • Outpost

You will find these structures on Oil Rigs and Pirate Stronghold islands, so those are your best routes when you are hunting for higher-tier sets like Diamond or Steel.

Which Armor to prioritize

If pure survivability is the goal, Diamond in both slots gives the highest stackable damage reduction at -20% per piece from Chests. Knight Armor beats it on the chest slot alone at -30%, but it is tied to the Knight class rather than loot. The Alien set is the best mixed option, since -15% Damage Taken plus +15% Max HP on both pieces adds durability and a bigger health pool at the same time.

For farming runs, the Gold Chest is the clear choice because it adds +10% Doubloons on top of -10% Damage Taken. If you fight up close, the Warrior Chest pairs -10% Damage Taken with +10% Melee Damage, so it works well with melee classes.

Tip: Because equipping a new piece drops the old one, only swap when you are standing somewhere safe. Otherwise you risk leaving your previous Armor behind mid-fight.

Confirm a piece is active by checking that both the Chest and Leg slots are filled in your loadout. If a bonus like extra Doubloons or higher max HP is not showing, the matching piece is not equipped, and you will need to open more Chests or slot the correct set back in.
