Xbox is testing a set of console changes aimed at recording, achievements, and saved games. The headline additions are voice chat in game captures, new sorting options for your achievement history, and the ability to restore an older cloud save straight from the console. A larger wishlist limit rounds out the batch, and that one is already available to everyone.
Quick answer: The expanded wishlist (up to 1,000 games) is live for all players globally. Voice chat in captures and the new achievement sorting are limited to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring, while cloud save restore is available to the wider Xbox Insider program, starting with Forza Horizon 6.
Where each feature stands right now
The rollout is staggered. Two features are locked to the highest Insider tier, one reaches the broader Insider program, and one is public. The table below shows who can access each one today.
| Feature | Who can use it now |
|---|---|
| Voice chat in game captures | Xbox Insiders in Alpha Skip-Ahead |
| Achievement history sorting | Xbox Insiders in Alpha Skip-Ahead |
| Cloud save restore | Wider Xbox Insider program (Forza Horizon 6 first) |
| Expanded wishlist (1,000 games) | All players globally |

Add to Google Preferences →Voice chat in game captures
This records the voices in a chat when you save a clip, so viewers can hear you and your friends react in the moment. It has been one of the most requested capture options for a long time, and it now sits behind the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring while it is tested.
Control stays with each player. You can record the whole party’s audio or just your own side, and any party member can exclude their voice from the capture. Recording works when you are in a party and also when you are using in-game chat without a party. The setting appears as “Share my voice in captures and live streams,” with separate preferences for in-game and party chat audio.
New achievement history sorting
The default achievement history view lists games by “last played.” Alpha Skip-Ahead Insiders can now switch that view to sort by game name, completion percentage, Gamerscore earned, or number of achievements unlocked. Each option can be listed in ascending or descending order.
The practical result is faster navigation of a long library. Instead of scrolling through everything, you can jump straight to the titles closest to completion, or line up games by the score they have paid out.
Restore an older cloud save from the console
Supported games now let you roll back to a previously synced cloud save without leaving the console. You can browse the available versions and pick an earlier one, which helps if a save becomes corrupted or you want to undo recent progress. Forza Horizon 6 is the first game with the option, and more titles are set to follow.
You know it worked when the restore prompt closes and the selected version becomes the active save for that game. If a game is not supported yet, the restore option will not appear in its Saved data menu.
Expanded wishlist up to 1,000 games
The wishlist limit has jumped to 1,000 titles, a large increase over the previous cap. Unlike the other three changes, this one is not restricted to Insiders. It is available to every player, so you can track far more upcoming and released games and keep an eye on them ahead of sales.
Note: You can add both released and upcoming games to the wishlist directly from their game cards, which makes it easier to save a title the moment you spot it.
The three Insider features are still in testing and will widen to more players over the coming months, while the bigger wishlist is something you can use today. If you want early access to voice chat in captures, the achievement sorting, or cloud save restore, you’ll need to be enrolled in the Xbox Insider program, with the capture and achievement options limited to the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring.
