Fields of Mistria: How to Change Your Farm Music with Song Crystals

Repair the Eastern Road bridge, unlock the Saturday Market, and buy the tracks you want from Zorel.

Repair the Eastern Road bridge, unlock the Saturday Market, and buy the tracks you want from Zorel.

The background music on your farm in Fields of Mistria is not fixed. You can swap it for tracks you buy and unlock through normal play, so the tune you hear while tending crops matches whatever you prefer. The system relies on two items sold by a single vendor, and reaching that vendor takes a short bit of story progress first.

Quick answer: Buy Crystal Resonators and Song Crystals from Zorel at the weekly Saturday Market, then use a Song Crystal on a placed Crystal Resonator to set that track as your farm’s music. The Saturday Market only appears after you repair the bridge on the Eastern Road.

What you need before you can change farm music

Two items control your farm’s music, and both come from Zorel. She is a specialty vendor who only shows up at the Saturday Market, a weekly bazaar in Mistria stocked with rare goods. The market is not open from the start of a new save, so you have to trigger it through the story before Zorel becomes available.

Unlock the Saturday Market by repairing the Eastern Road bridge

Early in the game, Adeline sends you a letter asking you to fix the broken bridge on the Eastern Road. Completing this task is what opens the weekly market and brings vendors like Zorel into town.

Read the letter from Adeline that asks you to repair the Eastern Road bridge. This kicks off the task tied to the Saturday Market.
Gather 60 Wood and 60 Stone. You collect these by clearing debris and mining around the farm and town, the same materials you use for most early construction.
Once you have all the materials, talk to Adeline again to turn in the task. With the bridge repaired, the market vendors begin arriving from the following Saturday onward.

Note: The market runs on Saturdays. If it is any other day of the week, wait for the next Saturday for Zorel and the other sellers to appear.

Buy Crystal Resonators and Song Crystals from Zorel

With the market active, head into Mistria on a Saturday and find Zorel among the stalls. Her stock is what lets you customize the music, so you need both a Resonator to play tracks and the Song Crystals that carry them.

Visit the Saturday Market and locate Zorel’s stall. She sells both the Crystal Resonator and individual Song Crystals.
Buy a Crystal Resonator. This is the object you place and use to actually play a chosen track.
Buy the Song Crystals for the tracks you want. There are 10 songs available through Song Crystals, so pick the ones that suit the mood you want on your farm.

Play a track and confirm the music changed

Once you own a Resonator and at least one Song Crystal, you set the music through the Resonator itself. Use the Song Crystal on the placed Resonator to switch the background tune. The change applies to the music that plays on your farm, and the same feature also lets you customize the music in the rooms of your home.

You know it worked when the farm’s background track changes to the song tied to the crystal you used. If nothing plays, make sure the Resonator is placed down and that you have loaded a Song Crystal into it rather than simply carrying the crystals in your inventory.

When the music option became available

Music customization through Zorel arrived with the full 1.0 release of Fields of Mistria, which added the ability to change the songs that play on the farm and inside your home. The same update brought 10 new songs via Song Crystals, along with a new winter song and extended versions of several seasonal tracks that swap in as you progress.

If you are returning to an older save, the market and Zorel become accessible through the same bridge repair task, so the path to changing your farm music stays the same whether you are continuing a farm or starting fresh.
